51.We had a history

Car stopped in front of my house.I didn't call him as I want to give him surprise and tell him about my revelation.I am going to propose to my husband now.I was excited and afraid at the same time.

As soon as I went inside I saw that front door was open and I am relieved as he was home.I know that aunt and uncle are going to stay at hospital tonight with my dad.So I will be alone with him and I can tell him what I was feeling about him.

I felt bad for my dad but right now I was very much excited after realising that I am in love with Vikranth.My dad will be too happy if he knows about this.I will tell my dad tomorrow morning when I go to hospital to visit him.

First I should tell Vikranth and we both can tell this news to my dad together tomorrow.Thinking this I went upstairs calling his name and opened the door.I was about to open my mouth but I was shocked by the sight in front of my eyes.

That was Meghna coming out of bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body and she was tieing one towel on her wet hair.I can see that her face is blushing and she has a small glint of smile and satisfaction in her face.I can hear the sound of shower running in background in the bathroom.

I was standing in front of the door with my eyes opened widely and I was unable to open my mouth as I was not sure who was there in the bath room as I don't want to accept the name that my mind is trying to say.

She turned her eyes and saw me and her expression changed immediately.She was worried and she started to panic as soon as our eyes met.She stammered while talking and said "Hey.When did you come?Can you give me a minute Amy.I will dress up and come meet you downstairs."

I didn't say anything.I have to shout at her ideally right?!She was asking me to go from my own room and now I am so sure from her expression that the person who was in bathroom was...No.I don't want to believe that.I don't want to think like that.

I snapped back and closed the door loudly and went downstairs and sat on sofa.My legs were shaking and my hands were wet because of the sweat.Great.I am sweating in spite of AC in my own house and I am waiting downstairs when some stranger was getting dressed in my own room.

After some time which felt like an year for me she came down wearing proper dress.She smiled when our eyes met but I can say for sure that smile was fake.

I stood immediately and when I am about to open my mouth to ask her why she was there she started speaking in a calm tone as if nothing happened.

"Hey.Sorry for that.I heard that you are staying with bhavs tonight actually.How come you came back early?"

There was a smile on her face which made me more angry.How can she question me like that?Why should I ask her permission to come to my own home whenever I want to come?

Eventhough I am pissed off with her I tried to maintain my composure and said "I had something to say to Vikranth.So I came home early.And I didn't know that you came to Bangalore.When did that happen?"There was a glint of sarcasm in my tone.

She sat on the sofa and I sat on the chair opposite to her as I wanted this conversation to be face to face.She said adjusting her dress "I came today.I was tired actually so I directly came to home without calling you or going to hospital.And Vikky said you will call him when you wanted to come back.so I was little shocked when I saw you in front of the door."

I nodded and was struggling to ask the question that was there in my mind.She continued " See Amy.I can't deny the fact about what you saw today.But I can guarantee that this is the first time we met after your marriage.Trust me.He was seriously trying to start a new relationship with you.We had a history Amy.It will take some time for him to forget all those things right?"

I was shocked.What did she say just now?This happened..?What happened?Oh no no no..Don't think like that please.Not knowing what to say I said "Where is he?"

She said "He will be downstairs in few minutes.Once he comes down we three will go outside and eat something.Then we can discuss what to do about all of this.I guess he called me for that only.We should know our places in this complicated.."

I didn't allow her to complete what she was trying to say.I didn't even listen to all that words that came from her mouth.My mind stopped working when she said that first sentence alone.I stood abruptly from the chair and she also followed my action.

"What do you mean?He is in the room with you when I came to that room?That means when I saw you coming out of washroom he was still there?"I know that is what she said.But I need to hear that from her mouth.

"Yes.Its not intentional Amy.It happened.We met after that fight and all history came in between our conversation and one thing led to other and we ended up having ..."She said but I stopped her by raising my hand and showing my palm to Indicate her to stop.

"Stop.Dont say anything.I don't want to hear that.You had history?Okay fine.But seriously??If he still wants you in his life tell him to deal that in a mature way.Why to do all this behind my back.And you know what.Go to hell.Tell him to do whatever he wanted to do.And you Meghna..Get the hell out of my house.Do whatever you want outside my house.But leave my house immediately." I shouted loudly hoping he can hear my voice and taking my hand bag I came outside the house.

I stopped a car and boarded it.I gave bhavs address and he dropped me at her address in 20 minutes.I was stable and I paid him money and went inside her house.

I directly went to her room and opened the door and she was sitting with her laptop on her bed and as soon as she heard my footsteps she raised her head from laptop and with a wide grin on her face she said "So...How did he react?You told him that..."

She stopped in middle of her sentence as she saw my face and standing up from her bed and pushing her laptop aside she came near me and holding my shoulders she said "What happened Amy?Why are you crying dear?Did he say something?"

And then I realised that I was crying and I intensified my crying and I bursted into tears hugging my best friend without passing her the news that made me cry like this.She hugged me back and patted my hair but she didn't speak anything.She held me tight and I cried hard.
