Catch a Kiss

|Dark was a man who had recently got a job as a fisherman and as he reeled in the last batch , he finds something else in the net|

Fluff

Dark's POV

"Dark you stay out 'ere and work , make sure you get that last batch . We're gonna play cards " one of Dark's co-workers ordered as him and he and the other pricks who worked on the boat went inside , leaving Dark to do all the dirty work

He had recently gotten a job as a fisherman, it not only paid well but his family recommended it since he was quite afraid of the ocean, and this could perhaps help deal with it ,but that didn't excuse the fact nearly everyone else on the boat was a complete dick

Dark sighed in frustration and annoyance. Running his hands through his raven black hair he got back to work , sorting out all the fish into their respected species and sizes , and throwing the occasional crab over board since they had caught too many and could barely hold them all

Dark did honestly feel sorry for some of these creatures, sure survival of the fittest and all that , but that didn't mean he at least felt sorry for doing this to them

Dark could suddenly hear the rattling of metal from behind him, he turned his head to see the metal part that enabled the net to be pulled up was rattling and jigging around like crazy , whatever was in it was surely big

Dark goes over and pulls at the rope , surprised to find that whatever was in the rope wasn't actually that heavy but was surely putting up a fight

Anti's POV

I happily swam about, my long tail swishing around in the water .

I saw one of those big human boats made of metal, I wanted to check it out since humans always fascinated me , but my father said to always stay away from these boats since they were dangerous

Just beside the boat I saw a net had been cast , and stuck inside of it was a shark , a baby one too . It was twisting around and trying to bite at the net , since if it couldn't move it couldn't breath

I let out a soft gasp and swim over rapidly towards it , seeming to forget me fathers advice all at once. But this was an emergency and I couldn't just let this poor shark suffer .

I grasp the net , starting to rip up the rope that surrounded the sharks tail

Eventually the shark's tail was free and it was quick to swim away

I smile triumphantly and was about to follow the shark before I felt my tail being yanked back

I look back at it , seeing it had been caught in the net, probably from trying to free the shark.

I panicked and tried to squirm away but I only got myself more caught, I even tried using my hands to free myself but they ended up being caught too

I flailed and squirmed , calling for help but no one could hear me , this was the open ocean after all , and the ocean was a big place .

I suddenly feel myself getting pulled up, I panic more and more as I reach the surface of the water

But to my surprise, I was met with the site of a very handsome man

3rd person POV

Both the males looked at each other in astonishment, both having so many questions in their heads

"H-Help me" the Mermaid said to Dark , snapping him out of his trance like state once he realised the predicament the other male was in

Dark was quick to lift the mermaid into the boat and onto a table where they'd sort the fish out .

"Wait here" Dark says to him before scrambling around to find something

He eventually found a pocket knife along side some spears and walks over with knife , he could physically see the fear in the pale males face

"Y-Your n-not g-gonna eat-t me are y-you" he asks shakily, sighing in relief when Dark shakes his head

Dark started cutting at the rope , trying to be quick about it since the others could come out at any time

Once he had freed the male he picks him back up and carries him over to the edge

"Before I let you go, what's your name?" Dark asks

"A-Anti..you?"

"Dark" Dark says , setting him in the very edge of the boat

Anti was about to dive in , but paused and looked back at Dark . He cups the males face and places a kiss on his tanned cheek as a sign of appreciation , before diving down into the deep blue

Dark stood there , hand on his cheek as he wondered if he'd ever see the male again
