3rd person POV

Peeking from outside his bedroom door , the teen sneaks his way through the late night in to the kitchen and looks into the living room from there

In the living room was one of his dads Anti , who he calls Pa, was sitting alone in the living room , hugging a pillow close . But where was Dark , the one he calls Dad, it was very rare the two males were seen apart from each other out of work or anything like that

"Virgil? What are you doing up so late" a sudden deep and familiar voice asked from behind the young male, making him jump and yelp, whipping himself around to face his black haired father , his brown eyes meeting his dads deep red irises

"I-I Uhm uh.." the purple haired male just stutters , not really knowing himself the full reason why he'd snuck out of his room.

The kitchen light flicks on , making both of them look up to see Anti

"Virgil , it's past midnight, why are you still awake " Anti asks softly, standing a little nearer to his son

"I-I Uhm....I can't sleep" Virgil says , rubbing his arm and playing with the sleeves of his pj's as his eyes met the smaller of the two dads

"Oh . Well?" Anti looks up at his partner, as if to ask what to do . But Dark only shrugs, petting the purple hair on top of his sons head

"I mean , he doesn't have school tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure he's done all his homework . So he can join us I guess " Dark says .

Anti smiled, and they walked back into the living room, the two dads sitting either side of their son

The boy shifted anxiously as always , the parents knew this from seeing it so much when they went out , but he'd rarely do it in the comfort of home

"Virg, you sure your ok?" Anti asks , both of them not looking down at him

The boy gulps , rubbing his arm more as he opens his mouth to say something

"P-Pa...Dad -d...can I ask you something?" Virgil asks , looking up at them

"Ask away" Dark says , resting his arm in the top of the sofa

"W-Why'd you adopt me.... s-some kids say it was out of pity...." Anti and Dark looked at each other , worried why the poor boy would think such a thing

"Of course it wasn't out of pity Virgil, we adopted you cuz he saw how amazing you are " Anti says

"Don't listen to the kids at school, their just jealous you have two parents who love you dearly " the two older men hugged their son , as well as hugging each other

"Nnooo, I don't do hugs " Virgil whined like the teen he was , trying to squirm out of the twos loving grasp

"Nu uh " Anti says , smiling

"I guess you could say we're..."

"Oh don't you dare!" Virgil interrupted his dad

"That were on the on the ...VIRG of making you angry "

The Dad like pun sent his partner into a fit of snorts , giggles and laughs , where as Virgil was left , head in his hands as he groans in annoyance
