The sound of booming thunder and the flashes of light that spread across the sky could be seen and heard for miles , this included Dark who was driving home. Rain pouring down on his car.
Dark parked the car in the drive way of his house, he grabs all his things and puts his coat over his head before getting out and rushing inside, closing the door behind him as he enters.
"Anti I'm home! "He calls out , smiling as he anticipated to hear his boyfriends footsteps race down the hall and his happy squeal before he was embraced in a hug, which was what he loved seeing when he got back from work.
But to his surprise, no one could be heard running down the steps , or squealing happily.
Strange..
"Anti?" Dark heads to the kitchen and sets his things down , removing his jacket.
Maybe he has his headphones in Dark thinks to himself, heading out of the kitchen to look around the house.
He wasn't in the living room, bathroom or upstairs bathroom , meaning there was only one other possible room Anti could be in.
Their bedroom.
Dark opens the door slowly, peeking inside . At first Anti didn't seem to be in there either, but Dark heard faint whimpering from the never opposite end of the room from where Dark was.
He tip toes over at a slow pace, peeking over the side of the bed.
There Anti was, huddled in the corner wrapped in blankets whimpering like a scared puppy.
"Baby, what are you doing huddled in the corner?" Dark asks , crouching in front of him.
"T-The thunder, I-it was r-really loud a-and it sca-ared me ." Anti stuttered out as she quivered in fear, clutching the blankets close.
BOOM!
A strike of thunder roared , making the poor male yelp and hide his face, shaking even more.
Dark picked Anti up mindfully, knowing how fearful Anti must be right now.
He sat on the bed , Anti across his lap as he cradled him like a child, moving some of the blankets out of the way so he could kiss his face, rubbing his back to calm Anti.
"Baby the thunder can't hurt you I promise, and if it did I'd protect you ." Dark says in his most caring voice, humming softly into Anti's ear.
{*Time skip*}
Later that night , Anti was tossing and turning, whimpering like earlier today.
Dark sighed softly, spooning him from behind and saying softly.
"Shhh shhh relax...I'm here.", no one can hurt you baby." Dark kisses his head, rubbing his sides.
"I'm sorry Darky.." Anti says softly, cuddling into Dark's warmth.
"It's ok...why don't we go watch a movie? I'll let you pick it."
Anti looked up at him and smiled, leaning up and kissing his cheek.
