Mark Brandenburg was a gambler and executive, born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. His dream was to own his own casino since he was old enough to hold a deck of cards in his hands. In the early 1990s, he worked hard in various casinos, learning the ropes, and went to business school in his spare time. He was not from an overly rich family, but they were well off enough, he did not want for anything, but he always wanted more from life. In 1993, Tyche took notice of him, his love for gambling and luck, and they dated for a while, until I was born that is. Then Tyche left.
At first, Mark was not sure what to do with me, but after I was born, his luck only seemed to get better, so he took it as a sign and kept me. After a while, he fulfilled his dream of owning his own casino, The Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, and became quite rich. This was quite nice for me; I grew up always having whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it.
I was 12 when I found out about being a demigod, I was attacked by a hellhound at school, and a satyr stepped into help me. Between some pretty badass luck and a sword that the satyr gave me, I killed it, or dusted it, whatever the f*ck those things do. The satyr talked to my dad, about going to some camp, but my dad really was not interested, and asked if there was any way he could pay someone to train me there, he offered top dollar. The satyr asked around, and there was an adult demigod, who needed work and agreed, as he got to live in the casino rent free, and for a few years this was how I trained.
Now, this is probably where you are asking yourself, why the hell I'm at camp now then. That is actually none of your business, but I will tell you anyway. My dad caught me sleeping with one of his business partners, I mean I was 18, I don't see why my dad cared so much, though technically I started screwing the guy when I was 16. He also found out that I had been rigging the card games, and generally wreaking some havoc in some of the other casinos. So I'm here, as punishment, thank the gods he didn't entirely cut me off financially, but to be honest I think that's because he's afraid I'll curse him with bad luck, which I would in a heartbeat.
Long story short, do not f*ck with me, and maybe I will not f*ck with you, it really all depends on how bored I am.
