A Child's Love (Part 2)

Heyo! Sorry it took so long for part two, I had finals and stuff for school. Anyway! Here it is! Hope you guys love!

Where we left off:

Once they got there, Bruce got to work stitching up Grants wound. Bucky noticed something in his son's hand and gently took it from him. Bucky's face paled when he saw what it was.

"Bucky? What is it?" Steve asked his best friend quietly.

"They have (Y/N)." Bucky whispered and showed his best friend your wedding ring.

And now the rest.....

It's been two days since the team got back to the tower from the mission. Grant has been unconscious from his wounds. Bucky has stayed by his son's side ever since he was brought to the medical floor of the tower, waiting for his son to wake.

Bucky was sat in a chair, looking down at his hands as he played with your wedding ring. Steve watched his best friend sadly. Steve was going to say something when he and Bucky heard movement from the bed.

"Dad...?" The boy croaked softly.

"I'm here bud. Right here." Bucky reassured his son quickly, slipping your ring onto his pinky.

"Mom.... They took her. We gotta help." Grant went to sit up but a sharp pain in his side stopped him. He groaned and laid back down.

"We will. I promise. And I know they took her." Bucky said and brushed some hair from his face.

"We have to find her now." Grant sat up this time, ignoring the pain in his side. He went to get up but Bucky and Steve stopped him.

"We will. But you have to heal up first." Steve said in his Captain America voice. Grant nodded and sat back down.

"I should've been taken...." Grant mutters. Bucky gives Steve a look, asking him to leave. Steve nodded and left the room to find Tony.

"Grant. It's not your fault (Y/N) was taken. It's ok." Bucky reassured his son gently. He wrapped his arms around Grant and held him close.

"I'm sorry...." Grant whispers after a few minutes.

"What for?" Bucky asked and pulled away. He sat down in his chair and looked at Grant.

"I couldn't save mom. I should've stayed with Uncle Tony. I thought I could do it on my own. I failed you. And mom. I'm sorry." Grant explained and looked down at his hands.

"Hey. Grant. Look at me." Bucky told his son gently. Grant looked up with a bit of tears in his eyes.

"It's not your fault. Ok? It's HYDRA's fault. They are the ones who took your mom. And they are the ones who made the mission difficult. But don't you ever say that it was your fault because it wasn't and it never will be. Do you understand me?" Bucky asks his son. Grant nodded and hugged his father tightly. Bucky hugged his son carefully, yet tightly, with one hand resting on the back of Grant's head.

Two weeks have passed since that day. Bucky, Grant, and the team haven't stopped looking for you since they started. Grant became a little distant and ever since his wound healed, he has been training non stop. Bucky tried to get him to stop, but Grant won't. He's trying to get better so this won't ever happen again. And if it does, Grant can get you back before anyone takes you.

One day, while Bucky is looking through files and documents about HYDRA, he gets a lead. His eyes widen and he rushed to find the team so he could tell them what he found. He burst into the main living room and found Steve and Tony there, making out on the couch.
