His Angel (Bucky Barnes)

This was a request by the amazing, funny, and fabulous Scared_Wolf_2022! I hope I did an awesome job on this! It was really cute and fun to write!

The end of the war between the Avengers finally happened. (Y/N) Stark's 26th birthday in a couple days. Her father, Tony, and Steve were doing everything they could to have the team together on that day. It was her one wish, to have the whole team there for her birthday.

And they pulled through. (Y/N) was surprised with a party, that all of the team was assembled for, her family was finally all together. With a few new people that you got to meet. They were all really nice. You talked with Scott Lang and Peter Parker a bit. But you really wanted to talk to Bucky Barnes but he just stayed quiet where he sat near Steve. He looked like he didn't want to be there at all, so, you walked over with a gentle smile on your lips.

"Hi. I'm (Y/N). It's nice to meet you Bucky. I've heard a lot about you from Steve." You introduced yourself and smiled a bit. Bucky looked up at you with his beautiful blue eyes and a slight smile twinged his lips. "Can I sit here with you?" You asked and nodded toward the empty seat next to him. He nodded and pulled the chair out for you and you sat down next to him.

You spent the rest of the party talking to him and getting to know him more. Tony then called you up so the team could sing happy birthday while you stood there, embarrassed as hell but you still loved them all anyway.

Tony did forgive Bucky a little bit for what the Soldier did to his parents and your grandparents, but he was still an ass to Bucky. And you hated it whenever Tony did that to him.

Bucky always smiled slightly when you would stand up for him, it made him start to fall in love with you. You didn't care about Bucky's past, it wasn't him, and you started to fall for him too as he did the little things for you. Like helping you reach something, get you a bar of chocolate whenever you were down and even watched some of your favorite movies with you when you were just feeling lazy.

The two of you became best friends, always hanging out together, keeping each other company, and just talking to each other. You guys were basically inseparable and you two were both blind to each other's crushes on one another. But Tony wasn't. He pulled Bucky aside one day.

"Look, Buckaroo, I know you like my daughter. But she will never like you for the monster you are. She's just being your friend because she feels bad for you and she doesn't want anything bad to happen. And don't go getting your hopes up because it will never happen. Understood?" Tony said to his face, deadly calm.

Bucky just nodded solemnly. His heart breaking a little bit. Tony then left and Bucky sighed slightly. He saw you coming down the hallway and when you saw him, you grinned and waved to him. Bucky just turned around and walked away, even though his heart was telling him not to.

You stopped and your smile fell. Your brows creased in confusion and slight hurt. You turned the other way and walked to your room, your arms wrapped around you.

This went on for a good month. Every time Bucky saw you, he would just walk away. It crushed you and him but neither of you knew what it was doing to the other one. Your bubbly, upbeat personality, now gone, only leaving you a very quiet, shallow, and cold. Steve found out from Bucky what Tony had said and is doing to him. He absolutely hates it and he's even noticed a change in your personality too. So, he went to go find Tony.

"Stark!" Steve barked when he got into the lab. Tony jumped and looked over at Steve.

"Yes, Capsicle!" Tony said and got back to work.

"Why are you making Bucky and your own Daughter miserable?" Steve asked with a small glare.

"I am doing no such thing," Tony mumbled.

"Don't you dare bullshit me," Steve growled which made Tony look at him with wide eyes to be met with Steve's deep glare.

"Fine. I didn't like that Bucky was getting too close to (Y/N) for my liking. So, I told him that she didn't like him and that there was no hope for him." Tony explained with a small shrug.

"Why the hell would you do that? Bucky is miserable as hell. And so is (Y/N). If you don't believe me, look for yourself. You selfish egotistical maniac." Steve huffed.

Tony did as he said and looked at the cameras. First, he looked in on Bucky. He was just sitting in his room, just staring at the floor, doing nothing. He looked miserable and Tony could see it and he frowned slightly. Then he looked in on you. You were in your room just laying there, doing nothing, miserable as hell, not being your bubbly self. Tony felt bad for what he did.

"I'm sorry Steve. I didn't mean to purposely make them miserable. I didn't think what I said to Bucky would do that to him and (Y/N). Guess I should apologize to Bucky." Tony muttered.

"Yeah. You should." Steve grumbled.

"FRIDAY, Tell Bucky to come and see me please," Tony muttered.

"Yes. He is on his way." She informed and Tony nodded. He and Steve stayed in the lab waiting for the two to come.

Bucky walked in and stood by the door quietly next to Steve.

"You needed to see me, Tony?" He mumbled.

"Yeah. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. (Y/N) does like you. I was just being protective and I shouldn't have said what I said. You don't have to forgive me and I respect that. But please know that I am sorry for what I did." Tony explained and looked at Bucky.

"It's alright Tony. I understand. If I had a daughter like (Y/N), I would be protective too." Bucky said and smiled slightly. Tony nodded.

"Now, go cheer (Y/N/N) up. She needs it. I want her bubbliness back." Tony smiled a bit.

Bucky smiled a bit more and quickly left the lab to go to your room. He got there in a few minutes. Tony and Steve watched from the cameras as he knocked on your door and got up to answer it.

"What do you want? Do you want me to look at you for a minute only for you to walk away again and rip my heart to pieces?" You mumbled when you looked at Bucky.

Bucky didn't answer, he just placed his hands on your hips and pulled you to him so your lips locked with his. You were shocked at first but wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him back, your eyes fluttering closed. Bucky then pulled away and rested his forehead on yours.

"I'm sorry. I was just doing what your dad told me to do. To stay away. But now he told me to keep you happy. And I want to do just that because I love you (Y/N) Stark. I love you so much that it hurts." Bucky mumbled.

"I love you too." You mumbled and kissed him again.

You both smiled a bit into the kiss. And that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship between the two of you.

You became Bucky's light in the darkest times, you became his happiness, his reason to live, his smile, his beauty, his other half, his baby, his love.

Bucky loved you to the end of the world. To the end of his days.

Bucky became more, Bucky, as Steve would describe it. You helped Bucky gain more of his memories, personality, and even himself as a person.

Bucky was finally happy with His Angel by his side. And you happy with your Bucky Bear by your side.
