The evening fell on a large forest. The estate was quiet after the noise of another celebration and everyone dispersed to different places. Stars and WingDing went to a large library, SwapFell and Maestro went to their room, Fell watched Mari drew something, and Swap and B gathered in a large, beautiful and cozy living room. They sat by the fireplace and chatted about different things. Suddenly Swap had a question.

"Bee, what can vampires do?" Swap looked at him with interest.

"What can vampires do? Well, a lot of things that are useful for us. We can turn into bats to move quickly and quietly from one place to another. We can hypnotize our victims, lead them to the dark corners of the city and drink or infuse their blood We can read minds, some of the vampires can use special techniques, for example: there are vampires who with one glance can learn all about the victim, whether they can come in handy or not, and there are not many vampires who use...Shadow Combat."

"Shadow Combat?" asked Swap.

"Yes, Shadow Combat is a very sophisticated technique that only two vampires use, very powerful, it's almost beyond anyone's control." B sighed. "I... tried to learn this technique, recreate it in my body, but blundered."

"And the others?"

Everyone in silence sat down near the fireplace and began to look at each other. After a very long silence, they again started chatting about everyone, laughing and joking. Like that they stayed not so long, SwapFell only wanted to tell another joke, as he immediately froze. Everyone looked at him.

"Swaf, is everything alright?" Ding asked.

"I hear something upstairs. A wheeze or moan.. something like that." after these words everyone began to listen.

And it's true, very quiet rattles were heard on the top floor. The guys decided to go upstairs and see what was happening there. Passing up the stairs and along the long corridor they realized that the sounds were coming from Fell's room, they approached the door. B stood at the door and quickly opened it, they saw... (forgive me for this TmT)

Fell pressing Mari to the chair, roughly biting her neck while she softly wheezed and clasped her hands tightly in his sweater, tears streamed down her cheeks. Blindy instantly ran up to Fell and hit him on the jaw. Fell let Mari go and fell to the floor, the girl fell into Swap's hands who ran up and he took her in his arms.

"Guys, take the small one. I'll sort it out myself. " said B and everyone quickly left.

~ In Fell's room ~

"WHY DID YOU DO IT? WHAT IF SHE DIES?!" B shouted at Fell.

"WHAT IF SHE'LL NOT!!" Fell was pinned to the floor. "Let's just hope she survives, okay?" Blindy sighed.

"Okay, but now you are responsible for her." Fell nodded.

~ In the living room ~

Stars watched a bite at Marie's neck, while others watched him excitedly. Marie sat quietly on the couch and looked at the floor, sometimes hissing with great pain. Stars was a little scared before looking at the others.

"Something's wrong?" asked Maestro.

"Fell infected her, she could become a vampire or..." all lowered their heads.

"Whatever it'll ne, you need to wait for the next days to find out what will happen to it." B said, entering the living room with Fell.

"Guys, really, forgive me. I don't know what came over me." Fell felt guilty. "I'm sorry, Mari."

"It's alright, Fell." the girl smiled faintly.

After a little chat, everyone, except Fell and Mari, went to their rooms. Fell picked her up and carried her to the dining room, where the girl was tasted deliciously. After they returned to the living room again, Fell lay on the couch, and Mari sat next to it, resting her head on vampire's arm. Fell certainly wasn't pleased that the small one is sitting on the floor and lifting her, put her on himself. Very soon both fell asleep, waiting for the next day, not knowing what would happen.

The next day Mari was found cold. She didn't move, didn't breathe, her heart didn't beat in her chest. Everyone thought she was dead, but after waiting a couple of hours, they realized that they were wrong. Mari didn't die, you can say that she was reborn with new soul. Now her eyes were bright red, the skin became pale, but she began to look more tired than usual.

Later, everyone gathered around the fireplace and began to talk, joke and laugh.

"Um, guys, can I ask you?" the little one looked a little scared.

"What?" Swath asked.

"Do you know who are The Dawn Knights?"

"Oh, these guys, of course we know them, they fight with monsters. Vampires, werewolves etc. " said Fell.

"D-does that mean they can kill us?"

"They kill those monsters that don't follow the rules, only evil monsters." answered Stars.

"C-clear."

"Do not worry, they will not be able to do anything to us. Unlike cults, we are harmless. By the way, we are allowed to kill dangerous criminals. " B said while Mari smiled. "But you can't go with us on the hunt"

"Why?"

"You're not yet trained and ready to hunt, you need to gain strength to go on your first hunt." Fell looked at her.

"How soon can I learn all that is important in hunting?"

"If you train for 4 hours in day, then in a week you can go with us to hunt."

"I'll be happy to learn to hunt criminals." Mari smiled.

"Then, from tomorrow, I'll start training you, Mari." Fell said, to which the girl nodded.
