I walked into the abandoned factory where I was meeting with Nobu. He demanded a meeting after the disaster of his shipment. I knew he blamed me for his, but that was not how this went down. I walked up to him, and he just stood there looking at me he calm and still and anyone who knew him knew that's when he was at his most dangerous.
"I understand your position. You need to understand mine." I started to tell him, but before I could finish, he started yelling at me in Japanese.
"He questions the validity of your position." Wesley translated for me.
"I say its piss and shit." Nobu snaps in English this time apparently not liking the way Wesley translated.
"Wel I'm sorry you feel that way. Never the less, my point is valid." I told him.
"You made guarantees." Nobu reminded me.
"Which I met." I reminded him.
"The Black Sky is dead!" He yelled at me.
"You asked that the docks and your transit path be clear of police interference. Did you observe any police?" I asked him trying to remain calm and collected.
"No." He answered.
"Of course not, because I'm a man of honor," I told him.
"Will it be difficult to locate another Black Sky?" Wesley asked him.
"Incredibly, they are extremely rare. The last Black Sky we located before this one was less than compliant. It took us years to find another." He answered Wesley.
"Perhaps you should have told me the importance of your cargo before you lost it," I told him causing him to yell at me again in Japanese.
"He's asking if you'd like to renegotiate the terms of your relationships," Wesley told me once Nobu stopped talking.
"I'm.... sorry. If I offended you. My apologies." I told him not wanting to upset his boss.
He mumbled something in Japanse before leaving the room.
"You get the last part?" Wesley asked me.
"Yes, threats are clear in any language," I answered him.
"He needs to be taught some manners." Weasly told me, and even though he was right, we did not need that kind of attention.
"Leave it alone," I told him.
"If the Russians had spoken to you this way." He said to me.
"They aren't the Russians." I reminded him.
"No the Russians actually contributed. Lelands Finances, Goes product, and Vlad and Anatoly's distribution until we absorbed that facet. What does Nobu and his men bring to the table? Where are they in all this?" He asked me if anyone else had asked me this I might have taken it as a threat, but I trusted Wesley and his judgment.
"A necessary evil," I answered him.
"I just don't like the way he speaks to you, that's all. Especially now when everything's going our way." He answered me.
"That's exactly when you need to be cautious." I reminded him.
