Luna
The two of us got our suits on and snuck into the building. We stood in a room in the darkness. One man was standing in the doorway guarding the rest of the building. He had a gun, so we were at a disadvantage. If we stepped out and tried to attack him, he would probably shoot us before we could move. So I let my whip loose and sent it flying towards him. It wrapped around his neck, and before he could even grab for it, I pulled him out of the doorway and into the corner with us. He fell to his knees as he struggled to catch his breath. As he knelt in front of me, I kicked him in the face. He fell to the ground from the force. I untied my whip from him, and Matt and I focused on the men who were playing some card game. The group of them yelling at each other in Mandarin.
We walked up to the main door, and Matt knocked on it. One of the men who were inside playing cards came and answered the door. The second he stepped outside. Matt grabbed him and pulled him down the stairs. The two of them started fighting, I try to figure out how I can help Matt, but before I could, Matt knocked the man out cold. I nodded at him, and then we made our way inside. Quitely walking down the hall. There was one man at the end of the hall, and I used my whip to pull him into us. I pulled tightly on the whip closing it around his neck. He dropped his gun and struggled to get free but ran out of air before he could and collapsed onto the floor. Once he was out, I freed him, and we continued. A second later, another guard realized his friend was missing and yelled into the dark hall we stood in. He drew his gun and walked towards us. Once he was within reach, Matt grabbed him, pulling him into the darkness and quickly overpowered him. As they fought, the man's gun flew into the main room where everyone was.
"Shit," I said as we walked into the room expecting someone to notice us, but we stood at the front of a room full of blind people. They where all blind and packaging the heroin. They did not look naturally blind. Every one of them looked like there eyes had been buried out of there head with acid.
I looked over to Matt as we walked threw them he was visibly upset. I reached out to grab his hand in comfort, but he pulled away from me. I froze in place as a demanding woman's voice called out threw out the room. I instantly recognized the voice. A chill so big ran up my spine I shook a little. I looked up to see Madam Goe standing up on the platform looking down at us. All the blind people started moving around, worried and screaming. They were bumping into us and grabbing us as they tried to escape.
"No, no, no, wait! I'm trying to help." Matt tried to tell them.
"They're not listening!" I yelled at him.
I know he felt bad for these people, but we needed to get out of here.
"Wait, no, please!" He tried again.
One of them grabbed me, and I quickly responded by punching her in the face.
"No, don't hurt them!" Matt yelled at me.
"I don't think they want our help!" I yelled back at him as I grabbed two of them and slammed them together.
I looked up to see Madam Goe, and she and two gunmen were trying to leave. Matt jumped up after them and grabbed onto one of the guards. I did the same to the other not wanting to use the whip now. Matt threw the first man across the room as I kicked the other in the leg. He stumbled to his knees but managed to quickly get back up and shoot at the two of us. The two of us jumped out of the way. Matt did the overdramatic flip thing he does and kicked the guy in the face. I took a step to the side and let the man fall at my feet. I looked behind me to see his bullets had hit some barrels that quickly had caught on fire and had already gone up in flames.
Goe stood there, staring at us. She did not even look a little scared. However, why would she be she was far stronger than the both of us.
"All those people, you took their eyes," Matt said to her.
"No, they blinded themselves." She answered.
"Why would they do that?" He asked, and I wanted to tell him because that's what they do, brainwash people into doing crazy things.
"Because they have faith." She told him.
"In you and your drugs?" Matt asked her not seeing the big picture.
"In something beyond the distractions of your world. You have taken that from them. Now, they will have nothing." She informed him.
"Your gonna tell me about Fisk." He demanded her.
She yelled out and slammed her flat palm into his chest, sending him flying back until he slammed into a poll. She looked over to me, and I dropped Nobu shoos challenging her to a fight if she wanted one. She looked to me then back to Matt, who was lying there, groaning in pain. She then turned and ran out of the room. I let her go knowing I did not want this fight. Now with her and not today. Matt stood up behind me and looked around, realizing she was gone.
"Thanks for the help." He said to me.
"She was to fast. Gone before I could react." I lied to him even though I knew he could tell when I was lying.
Then there were explosions in the background and people screaming out in fear and panic. The two of us ran back the way we had come. Some armed guards san towards us Matt kicked one in the face and grabbed his gun. He shot it in the air, causing everyone to scream out and run the other way. He then shot the sprinklers so they would go off putting out the fire.
"Get there people out of here!" Matt yelled at the guard, who quickly started yelling in Mandarin and herding everyone out.
The two of us ran out and up to a near bye rooftop where we watched the cops, ambulance, and fire trucks responded to the mess. Once they got two work, we jumped down off the roof to head back where we hid our clothes.
"Freeze. Don't move!" Brett's voice yelled from behind us.
The two of us froze not knowing how we did not realize he was there.
"Matt," I whispered so softly only he could hear me.
"Hands, let me see your hands!" He yelled.
"Don't please," I begged him.
"Hands!" He yelled again.
I looked over to Matt, who had started raising his hands and followed suit and then turned around to face Bret when he did.
"Slowly, slowly. You're the guy, your them. The ones that killed Blake and shot those cops!" HE yelled as he pointed his gun at us.
Matt quickly bent down and picked something up and threw it at him. It hit him in the hands, causing the gun to go off but the bullet missed us. Matt ran up to him and put him in a chock hold.
"Don't!" I yelled out, not wanting Matt to hurt him.
"We did not kill Detective Blake. Or shoot those cops." He told him before releasing him and pushing him down to the ground.
"Blake and Hoffman were dirty. Working for Wilson Fisk. Along with a lot of others in your precinct. I'm not the bad guy." Matt yelled at him.
"Then what are you?" Bret asked as police sirens went off, distracting him and we ran away.
