"Vladimir is in the wind," Wesley informed me.
"How?" I asked him annoyed.
This entire thing was to get to him. To kill him and now I was being told that he had got away.
"Our friend in the mask and his girl where there. he was beating on him, but she stopped officer Corbin and his boys from finishing him off." He answered me.
"Then they weren't trying to kill him?" I asked.
"Based on what we know...probably trying to get him to talk. About you. He attacked Blake to get to his phone." He answered.
"We'll deal with Blake later. We need to contain this." I told him.
"Vladimir and the masks won't make it out of the area. The sweep will pick them up." He said trying to comfort me.
"Gao put her trust in me. She gave me her help. SHes going to be disappointed in the fact that the situation hasn't concluded as neatly as promised." I reminded him.
"What are you gonna tell her?" He asked me.
"The truth? Lying to that woman is impossible." I reminded him.
"She'll want to know our next move." He said to me.
"Letting the police do their jobs. That's what I pay them for, isn't it." I told him.
