''Sophie? You ready, gorgeo-''
I'm stopped dead in my tracks as I head back into the bedroom. Sophie is standing there in a simple maxi dress with her hair down by her shoulders looking absolutely unbelievable.
''Wow! Sophie, you look...you look beautiful''
I struggle to get the words out as my heart swells as I watch her in awe standing there before me. She looks absolutely incredible! How I manage to pull this one is beyond me!
''Thank you'' she says quietly, almost as if she doesn't want me to hear it.
''You look amazing yourself, Gary'' she smiles at me, speaking a little louder this time.
I shrug my shoulders as I open my arms to suggest 'what else would you expect?' type of thing. I've kept it simple with just a pair of black shorts, a black short sleeved shirt with some white polka dots and my flip-flops. The restaurant is only a few minutes walk up the road so the flip-flops are the ideal choice. It's still absolutely roasting outside so it's a no-brainer really.
''Ready to get going then?'' I ask her, holding out my hand for her to lace her fingers through mine.
''Yep, just need to get one last thing''
''What is it you nee-''
I'm cut off by a pair of soft lips pressing against my own. Her lips. Her soft, pink, velvet-like lips. They are as inviting and as intoxicating as ever. I lose myself almost immediately as a rush of love rips through as my hands fall to her hips in a breathtaking kiss. When we break the kiss, I'm actually left gasping for air. Wow.
''Wow, what a...what a kiss, Soph'' I splutter as I struggle to regain my composure and keep my legs from buckling.
''Just want you to know that I love you, Gary. I love with all my heart''
Closing my eyes briefly, I let the smallest groan pass through my lips.
''How did I get this lucky?'' I smile at her as I pull the door behind us and lead us down the walkway and out onto the main street.
''I think you'll find that I'm the lucky one, babe''
''Not a chance, Sophie. Not a fucking chance in the world'' I wink at her as we link our fingers and head off to dinner.

''What a view, eh? Look at that sunset, babe'' I say to her, pointing to the dipping sun as we sit out on the terrace of this gorgeous restaurant whilst sharing a bottle of wine after an amazing 3-course meal.
''Oh my God. It's so pretty!'' she says as she fishes her phone out from her bag and starts taking a few pictures.
I sit there and watch her and she rises from her seat and heads over to the railing to take some more pictures. Carefully, and very quietly, I take out my own phone and take a few photos of her without her knowing. She spins around quickly which catches me off guard. I almost drop my phone on the floor.
''Gary! Stop it!'' she whines sarcastically at me, dipping her head low to avoid being snapped.
''Come on, Soph. Let me get a photo of you. Not often I have something as beautiful in front of me like this in this setting'' I wink at her which makes her blush ever so slightly.
Letting out an exaggerated breath, it soon gives way to a face-splitting grin before she stands up tall and strikes a little pose.
''There she is'' I smile as I take a couple of sweet snaps before rising from the table myself and heading over to join her.
