Tyler's point of view
"Why the hell are we doing this again?" My girlfriend, Y/N, moans as we trudge through the woods by her grandparents' house.
"Because we need to breath in Mother Nature's air," I reply, taking a deep breath in.
"Ok, Bear Grills, answer me this; do you have ANY clue where we are going?"
"Ah, what if I said no?"
"Then I would walk all the way back home again. Hey, let's play hide and seek! You count, and I'll hide!"
I turn around and smile at her. It's a warm summer evening, and the sun is setting, so I'm just wearing shorts and trainers and Y/N's in a vest top, shots and trainers.
"Cool beans," I laugh. I shut my eyes and start counting to twenty one.
"20...21! Ready or not, here I come!" I call. The forest is suddenly in total darkness so I turn on my phone's flashlight in order to see where I'm going. Sadly, there's no phone reception, but that's ok, I'm-
Suddenly, I hear a branch snap to my right, and I spin around, my heart racing.
"Oh, Tyler, where are you?" A deep voice says with a chuckle.
"W-who's there?" I ask, tripping over a tree root.
"Oh, c'mon, Ty, I'm an old friend of yours," the voice replies. It's getting closer.
"I-I don't know you!" I snap. That's when the voice starts humming a VERY familiar tune.
"My name's Blurryface, and I care what you think!"
"Oh, crap."
Suddenly, a hand covered in black boot polish wraps itself around my wrist. I get pulled up, and shoved into the bark of a tree harshly; I've almost certainly got some scratches.
"Y-you're not real; you're just someone I made up," I whisper to myself.
"Am I real now?" The voice says, stepping out into the moonlight. I try not to scream or throw up when I see who it is. He's dressed in red beanie hat, with blood red eyes, black boot polish covering his hands and neck, and black shorts with white stripes that covered black jeggings and red socks with black pumps. He has a plain black t-shirt that's covered by a black shirt with buttons.
"Um, yes, y-you're real," I stutter.
"Good," Blurryface says to me. His hand goes to my throat, and I freeze. "I feel like you and me have a LOT of catching up to do, am I right or am I wrong?"
I don't reply, and I suddenly start choking, causing Blurryface to laugh.
"I said, am I RIGHT or am I WRONG? Answer me right now, Ty-"
"TYLER!" A voice screams. Blurryface instantly drops me, and walks over to who the voice belongs to.
"Why, hello, little Y/N," he spits at her.
"Leave her alone," I gasp, throwing a twig at him. He doesn't turn around, and continues to walk over to Y/N, whilst I'm gasping for air, sitting helplessly on the ground.
"Leave him alone, Blurry," Y/N says calmly as he starts circling her.
"Why should I?" Blurryface hisses at her.
"Because," Y/N replies, her tone of voice still calm and steady, "he doesn't need you right now. You need to let go of the fact that, yes, although you're not dead, that Tyler doesn't need you 24/7."
"But I'M a PART of him! I'm not going to leave him."
"I didn't say that you needed to leave him; I said that Tyler just needs to move on for now. You're not real."
"I AM real!" Blurryface snaps at her, "and I need him to stay with me!"
"I completely understand that, BUT not everyone wants to stay with you, because, I don't mean to be rude, but you're a bit of a downer."
I cannot help but chuckle at that, and I know that although she seems to saying all this stuff to Blurryface, she actually saying it to me. That's why I stand up, walk up to the pair of them, look over at Blurryface, and smile at him, pulling him into a hug.
"It's time for you to go now," I whisper in his ear, then shove him back into the darkness. Y/N takes my hand in hers, and we walk off out of the woods and back home again.
