Josh
"So you don't DIE from this, do you?" Josh asks me, looking generally confused. We're currently sitting on the sofa, and he's slowly rubbing my stomach to relieve me from cramps.
"Nope. Trust me, if women did die from their period, half the population would be wiped out!"
"So why does your stomach hurt? And why does it happen every month? Is there a way of preventing it?"
"My stomach hurts because I get cramps, which basically means my uterus is getting stabbed with a drumstick!"
Josh looks horrified at this.
"And it happens every month because I'm being punished for not having kids."
"Ah, I get it. So you need to have kids in order for it to stop."
"Josh, I'm surprised you don't know this stuff. You grew up with 2 sisters!"
"Yeah, but I didn't really want to pay attention to that stuff. Although I do know some stuff; I think."
"Hmm, fair play, Joshy; it's pretty grim."
"So, once you have a kid, it stops?"
"Nope. Well, it stops once a baby starts growing inside you; then once you give birth, then it starts all over again."
"That's a pretty harsh punishment. How long does it last for?"
"It lasts a week every four weeks, and it lasts up until you're in your 50s."
"You poor thing!"
"Me and many other poor women," I say, stroking Josh's neon yellow hair.
"Stop stroking my hair, it's getting messed up!" He grumbles.
"Aw, poor Jishy's getting annoyed," I tease him. He hugs me tightly, then I push away, causing him to pout.
"Why did you push away?"
"Because my stomach hurts."
"Here, I'll try to lessen the pain." And with that, he starts rubbing my stomach, and starts talking to me about some new drum stuff he's been trying out. I hum, completely zoning out about what he's saying, and I very soon fall asleep.
Tyler
"Ugh, why do you have to do this to me, Satan?" I groan.
"Do you need anything, love?" My boyfriend, Tyler, asks me.
"Yup. I need you to tell Satan to stop this monthly hell."
Tyler chuckles.
"I'm afraid I can't tell him that, BUT I can provide cuddles, kisses, and a hot water bottle." He produces a nice, warm hot water bottle, and he gently places it over my t-shirt.
"Thanks. Now, I wouldn't mind the other two things you suggested," I say with a grin. Tyler gets onto the bed, and lays down beside me, cuddling me.
"Wanna watch a movie?"
"Yes please. Can we watch Deadpool?"
"Your request has been accepted." Tyler gets up and puts the DVD into his laptop, and he rests the laptop on a pillow. I lay my head on Tyler's chest, and soon fall asleep, softly listening to Tyler's heartbeat.

When I wake up, I'm still in the same room, but the movie has stopped.
"Hey, love, you fell asleep, therefore I stopped the movie," Tyler says, "but, look; I got snacks." He throws me a bag of popcorn, and we share a Dairy Milk bar between us.
"I think I'll take a small walk around the house now," I say, getting up off the bed. I walk very slowly downstairs, and I feel Tyler hold my shoulders in support. I rest at the bottom of the stairs, then I walk into the living room, smiling a little at Tyler's piano in the corner. I settle down on the sofa, then smile Tyler settles down at the piano, and he starts playing Hometown, his soft, angelic voice carrying itself throughout the house.
