"Enjoy your Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte Espresso Ma'am" I sighed out loud after the last costumer in line had been given the Espresso she came and ordered for. The forced smile on my faced had dropped revealing a very tired expression of my face I'd been duty since 8 am in the morning and my shift would end just...I took a glimpse on my wrist watch and it was 29 minutes passed 2 pm which meant that I could finally sign out when the long hand pointed to 6, just one more minute and I was off.
It was my 5th week here working in Starbucks Cafe as a barista. I took the job so I could start saving money for college even I got a full scholarship with weekly allowance I still wanted work for my own money to sustain my personal desires and needs just like concert tickets and other personal whims.
Speaking of L.A I still haven't had the chance of barging on to this woman I admire or had seen her randomly in the street or just her simply waltzing in here. I thought it would be a lot easier when I finally moved here because every day I would have the opportunity to see her but over a month had passed and still nothing. I still hadn't seen her. All the negative thinking was giving me stress and doubting more that I wouldn't ever see her. Nice job Tam, nice job. I thought to myself as I sighed out loud due to the frustration eating me alive once again.
I removed my apron and the hairnet the was holding my now dyed dirty blonde hair. My hair bounced down to my shoulder, I looked at the mirror and saw its wavy style which I loved. I signed off and Mary took over the counter as my replacement for the next hours. When I went out I felt my thirst for my beloved S'mores Frappuccino Blended Creme. It wouldn't harm me if it quenched this thirst of mine so I went inside again and Mary took my order.
Whilst I was waiting for it to be done I scanned the surrounding, it was so peaceful. My sight last landed on the woman sitting near the entrance, her back was facing me so I didn't see her face but I think she was preparing to strode off. I felt a poke on my back and I spun around.
"Still hoping that she would barge in in this cafe?" She asked with a mocking smirk as she wiggled her brown in amusement. Yeah she knew it. We'd been close and I told her about the woman I fell head over hills with. We hadn't talked to each other neither confessed her my feelings but the certainty of my feelings towards her was too concrete. I was in love with her. I locked my hazel orbs with her ocean ones and nodded.
"Anyways, here's you favorite. I added extra whipped cream" She said and lowered her voice in the end of the sentence. I thanked her as I paid the beverage. When I turned around my gazes immediately looked upon the now empty seat where she once sat.
I took my beverage with me and decided to just chill for a bit on the same table where the once brunette woman was sitting. I soon as I sat there, I began drowning in the pool of thoughts I had been keeping since I got here. Doubtful thoughts were wrapped around my head and I couldn't just unwrapped it with my bare hands. I was scared of the reality of finally meeting her yet I couldn't hide the joy every single time the thought of seeing her personally would ran through my head.
"May I sit here?" I soft familiar voice uttered while motioning the chair on the right side of the round table. Damn, her scent was so sweet and alluring. I inhaled her intoxicating smell and let it be carved on my mind. As a non-verbal respond I nodded at her and she sat there with me while holding her plain back coffee. The next minutes were consisted of me taking a sip from my drink and just simply pondering about things I knew I had to figured out like trying to audition for this TV series my roommate recommended for me since she was one of the stuffs working for Ryan Murphy because if I did, that would be like a solid dream come true even if I wasn't going to be accepted in the show because surely Sarah would be there, she had been playing as one of the protagonist in the show for years now.
