Back at the beach house again, after seven years...

"Katy, get down here!" The brunette sternly demanded, both hands were on her hips and waiting her five year old child to come down stairs, little girl wasn't having it. She just giggled to herself seemingly amused to the sight of her mother. She wasn't the type of girl to be easily scared, she was one tough cookie.

"Katheryn, please just get down here sweetie. Don't wake up momma, she's tired." From stern to soft, that was how fast she could shift herself. One hand caught the railing and the other one was massaging her temples, softly shaking her head. The girl was growing more uncontrollable, she was enthusiastic all day, her energy was always above the bar and it was sucking all the life from her mother but this didn't stop Sarah even in her current state.

"Please baby, get down and we will watch your favorite princess movie. Okay?" She plead to her daughter was sat in the midst of way. Elbows propping on to her knees and cupping her face, staring right down at her mother who was at the bottom of the steps.

"What's all the noise about?" you said, your slumber got disturbed but it wasn't much of a big deal unlike what your wife thought.

You were worn out from the drive and hadn't had a good sleep yet but seeing your daughter and wife was enough to keep you up.

"Momma!" Katheryn jumped when she heard your voice and dragged her little self up all the way and tugged at the hem of your shirt waving her short arms at you, wanting to be picked up.

"Oh sweetheart..." Sarah said as she looked at you, you sensed her tone it was with a hint of being apologetic. She felt bad for waking you up even if it was unintended fully knowing how tired you were.

"No sweetie, it's okay." You said with a smile on your face, displaying a proof of assurance that it was indeed fine with you and she had nothing to be worried about. You went down gradually since your were carrying your daughter. She wasn't that heavy so you put her on your hip and held her with one arm while the other one pulled Sarah by the waist and gently placed your lips on hers.

"I missed you." You said and pulled away. Both of you looked at Katy and she had a disgusted expression on her face sticking her tongue out. Sarah chuckled and you wiped you palms on your daughter's face.

"Mommy! you cawwy (carry) me pwease (please)." Katy called out for Sarah but you didn't agree to that. Trying to convinced her that she was so heavy. "It's okay." Sarah reached out to get her daughter and took the little child out of your grip. You sighed out loud.

Positioning Katy on her hip you walked past them, slightly annoyed. Sometimes you couldn't just deal with how willful your wife could be. You knew she was just trying to be the best mom to Katy. On your way to the kitchen for some water your conscience was battering you, that small act was just so immature. Even the smallest things couldn't make you sleep at night knowing it could still hurt them at some point.

Turning around you saw them in the living room, Sarah was finding a good princess movie while Katy sat on the couch patiently waiting for the movie. Snaking your arms around her tummy and placing your chin over her shoulder you mumbled an apology. She placed a hand over your hand. "It's fine, you're just trying to protect us." She pecked the side of your face and continued on what she was until she found the one.

You started drawing circles over her stomach, rush of electricity made its up your arms.

"We should tell her now you know." You said, cupping the small bump, once again she placed her hands over yours. "I agree. But we should prepare for dinner first. I'm quite getting hungry again." You both laughed and decided to just call for a pizza delivery since both of you were lazy to cook something plus there was no stock of foods.

Dinner was done, you had both discussed to Katy about Sarah's pregnancy, Sarah had washed Katy for bedtime and you just got back from the nearby store with two large plastic bags in both hands. Your wife was about to help you but you shook your head. Placing everything on the kitchen counter, Sarah helped you sorting them out.

"I bought ice cream." You said with a wide smile taking the tub out from the bag. "Finally, he's been craving it." She took a spoon out of the drawer and ready to eat the ice cream when Katy just popped out of nowhere. "I heard ice cream" she cutely said, the shock on your face was priceless then you and Sarah got into a fit of laughter. "Come baby." Sarah said and put her daughter on the counter giving her a spoon so she could dig in too.

"Momma can you expwain (explain) again how my bwothe' (brother) got into Mommy's tummy?" You laughed at how her baby talking was showing off more. Sarah looked at you with watchful eyes, knowing if you talked alone you would mention unbelievable things that was why she did much of the talking earlier.

"Why don't you ask Mommy instead, baby?" You said giving the full authority to Sarah. After a lot questions from the young girl and with Sarah answering them Katy finally got tired and sleepy. Sarah made sure first she had brushed her teeth and drank a lot of water before tucking her to bed.

You and Sarah was now in front of the big flat screen T.V snuggled in the sofa with your legs draped with super soft blanket, the light coming from the T.V was the only source of light around the room since the light was turned off. Sarah was focusing on the show but didn't mean she couldn't see how you eyes were lingering on her.

"You're staring too much again. Why?" Scooting closer and resting her head on your chest. You wrapped and arm around her.

"Nothing... okay, okay maybe there's something." You almost didn't tell but you knew nothing could beat an honest wife so...

"What's is that then?"

"I'm just...still can't believe that I got to have you back. Sar. After all those years and the engagement? I lost hope after you showed me that ring telling myself that it could have been me and I really had to get over you shit like that-" You paused for a bit feeling you heartbeat so fast.

"-and now I am married to you! with one beautiful daughter and a baby boy on the way. My life couldn't be more perfect than it already is."

"It wasn't our time by then, I really thought Lily was the one who was meant for me but she wasn't, it had always been you. You're the one I always remember. Also I was kind of expecting that she would fall out of love from me...Hamish and her got in touched again when they did a play together then one thing led to another. It did not hurt me as much but still what she did was very disappointing." Sarah explained placing with your fingers

"I know and it hurt me. I texted her right away after you called me that the engagement was off. I may have said some indecent words but after I had calmed myself down I said sorry and explained myself to her."

"It was all meant to happen, sweetheart. Because if it wasn't them we wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be married to a gorgeous woman like you. I wouldn't have Katy then Angelo..."

"Angelo? so you have named him already."

"Well yeah but that's still pending though, I'm thinking of Briane Angelo like Katheryn Elise. I love giving them two names."

"Obviously." You kissed the top of her head. "I love you very much, Sarah. I love all of you. Your lisp, your nose, your eyes, your lips, just everything about you. I want you to know how grateful I am for having you. I know I don't say I love you as often as I should but that doesn't mean my love for you is any less."

Sarah didn't answer you by words but by action, she pulled you in for a long, breathtaking and heart warming kiss. She indeed loved you full circle.

Life was a bitch by then but now life was treating you at its best. This was your happy ending. See? not all books that started with bad happening would end just the same as the opening, just wait for it, trust the time, it would give you your happy ending.

HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE HAPPY ENDING!!!! I HOPE YOU'RE ALL SATISFIED WITH IT. SPREAD LOOOOOOVE.
