"I'm going to call the company car, I'll be right back."
"No! I can and I will drive myself home."
Even in her weak state she managed to growled the words like a beast. Such a stubborn woman – you were in the middle of feeling pity over the woman and just pissing off from her naturally mean personality. She had always been nothing but a bitch, she never smiled or acknowledge your presence in a way it could warm a heart. She was always angry.
"You're sick. Something bad might happen to you!" you retorted, voice was raising in the same level as her and she wasn't liking that fact that you were growing some balls to speak to her this way. No one had ever talked back to her the way that you did.
"You're unnecessarily concern, why?" voice was low and flat, her eyes never leaving yours daring you to spill out nothing but the truth. Momentarily, you were frozen right where you stood.
Her words processed, you cracked a sarcastic laugh – it was dull and short before composing yourself all back together. Are you being real? You wanted to say that right in front of her face but figured it would likely get you fired however you thought about it if that was what it takes to be honest with her then alright because one way or another after this day you would lose your job.
"Unnecessary? Yeah sure whatever you say. Ms. Venable. I just care for you – truthfully. I didn't know it's going to be this hard for me. Okay fine have it your way."
Sounding so unkind to anyone even to her made you feel weird like you wanted to take it right back and just give her a one last straw. You really cared – deeply and truthfully. No matter a poisonous words and vicious her face it you always thought about the real woman that was in locked up in her soul.
Clicks of your heals were loudly thudding the ground – oh damn, Wilhemina Venable hated that fucking sound. You always walked so gracefully – that she knew of, she was an observant. You always made sure not to break even the slightest noise possible whenever you enter her office but right now? You were doing it purposely knowing your boss was already shooting daggers on your back so why not make the most of it.
Gripping the cold metal handle of the glass door you waited for a couple of seconds, you smirked seeing the red-head's reflection from the glass wall, she looked like she wanted to stop you but her pride was getting on the way.
One more step and you were out and that was it.
"Drive me home." Venable said, you knew she wasn't asking but commanding you. Well that was better than letting her drive herself home. Although you knew the consequences of your actions, you didn't mind them.
Venable was so sure that she could handle herself, that she could take care of her own being. After all, she had been all by herself and doing everything for her own good. No one was present to help her. She got used to it and planned on keeping it that way but you showed up fucking up her plans for the future.
