Hello everyone,

I know I've promised to be writing some reactions, so you might be asking 'Where the hell are they?'. The official statement from @/akatengu is:

"It's not making me happy right now to write, my mind's blank and I feel like I would have to force myself into it and I don't want that."

So instead of doing the promised reaction, I decided to drop a few words about the song that came out today, 'IDOL'. So beware of possible spoilers in case you haven't seen it yet. Watch it first before reading any further.

I saw the teaser and was genuinely curious about the whole version and to my surprise (actually not), it sounds completely different. It's similar to their recent songs like Not Today or even DNA, which means it's pretty awesome. It's also kinda similar to Mic Drop because in the lyrics, they're basically dissing haters and stating that they simply love the way they are, which is good.

The MV is very colourful, bright and energetic, I really liked the visuals in general. It reminded me of DNA because bright yellow colour is actually pretty unusual to be used in MVs, at least in this extent. Also the way the colours just exploded in the background rang the same bell. The concept is something like very bright safari festival in an underwater Korean temple...?

While the teaser showed us more of traditional sound, the song itself is more modern, yet it expresses Korean feeling or how to say it? If you've been listening to Kpop for some while now, you can see the difference between Korean and western style of music. Recently, BTS were drifting closer to the western style but now they returned back home.

Anyway, you might be asking: 'We all know that because we saw it. What's your point?'. Well, Rebecca, I'd like to pintpoint a very important part I noticed and wanted to share my love for the boys!

Do you remember the one time I was writing about respect for BTS? Well, honey, the boys agree with me and do their thing the way they want. Because
