Hello dear ARMYs that read this silly fanfic,

a few months ago, I posted a chapter expressing my initial feelings about BTS's song Dynamite that I have since taken down as it no longer applied. As you may remember, I did not like it and criticised it for being too "westernized".

Since then, I have come to the conclusion that it does not matter and that the song just needed me to listen to it a dozen more times before I came to like it. And I have. I like it and I no longer hold the same opinions as I did in August.

In fact, I love the song. I play it in the background when I am in my Zoom class, wishing for the sweet release of death. Without upbeat music such as Dynamite, I would probably no longer be studying at a university. I have thus come to have a special place for Dynamite in my old, dead, cold heart.

And for that reason, I want to sincerely apologise. To you all who rightfully criticised my bad taste, but also to BTS who did not deserve the harsh words I used. The song is a bop and their music journey is fascinating to watch. I am glad to be a part of this journey, even if only as an ordinary fan with no significant impact on their success. I have supported them since 2015 when I got into Kpop for the first time and I believe I will continue to do for the rest of their fruitful career. I may not like everything they put out, true, but Dynamite did not deserve any of my criticism.

My heart goes out to all of those who feel disheartened by the Grammys' treatment of BTS in a desperate chase after clout and relevancy.

Lots of love,

Rin
