"So, were you serious about bringing the kids into this?" Fletch asked flopping down on the sofa
"Make yourself at home why don't you?"
He responded by laying back, hands behind his head,feet up.
Jac rolled her eyes and pushed his legs off the sofa and sat next to him.
"Well we know Emma thinks the sun shines out of your backside"
Fletch gave her a "well who can blame her" kind of look
"But I'm not sure how your lot are going to respond to me"
"Well current opinion is divided."
"Go on"
"Well Theo likes Emma so he likes Emma's mummy. Evie rumbled me so I think will be happy if I'm happy. Which I am" he paused to kiss her cheek "and Mikey and Ella think you're Jacula"
"Wow. I have work to do on the Fletchlings then"
He pulled her in for a cuddle
"They'll love ya. They just need to get used to you. You are an acquired taste Ms Naylor"
She huffed "well you seem to have acquired it easily". She said as he shuffled her onto his lap. Arms encircling her waist he began kissing her deeply just as Nicky burst in.
Jac reacted in a way that no body could have predicted. She stayed where she was but buried her face in Fletch's shirt to hide her laughter. Fletch still held her tightly and smirked at Nicky's shocked gasp
"Hi" he smiled "did you want something?"
"Erm ... I er no" she stuttered and left.
Jac and Fletch were helpless with laughter
"Get you Naylor. No jumping away from me like a scalded cat, no shouting at Nicky to get out"
"I told you that I wouldn't deny it" she said stroking his cheek "Are you proud of me"
"I never cease to be amazed by you Jac"
Back on the ward
"Well they're not dancing round each other now unless you count tongues down throats"
"I knew it" Frieda said triumphantly "it's about bloody time"
