Chapter 25

Courtney's POV
It's been a month since I was in the hospital. The boys have been watching me like a hawk. The only time they weren't watching me was when I was in the bathroom or at work. I am 2 months pregnant and still have nightmares constantly. I was just about to leave to go on a walk when Darry stopped me.
"Where are you going?" Darry asked.
"I'm just going for a walk. I'll be fine Darry." I said.
"Take Pony or Soda with you." Darry said.
"Aw c'mon Darry! I have my blade I'll be be fine." I said.
"I still think one of the guys should go with you." Darry said.
"I'm not a little kid Darry." I said
"Just let her go Darry! We've been watching her like a hawk for the past month and she's been fine." Sodapop said.
"Thanks Soda. See even Soda agrees." I said.
"Fine, but be careful." Darry said.
"I'll be fine. I'm just going to take a walk to the park. I just need some fresh air. I'll be fine." I said and kissed Darry's cheek and ran out before he could say anything.
I then headed to to the park and sat on the monkey gym and just thought about my baby, my brothers and Daxtyn. What would he do if he finds out I'm pregnant? Would he try and get custody? I couldn't bare the thought of him harming my baby. I thought as I put my hand on my stomach. I then jumped off the monkey bars and started to walk towards town. I was just looking around when I saw a baby store. I opened the door and a lady maybe in her mid twenties came over to me.
"Hello dear? Can I help you?" She asked.
"I'm just looking around." I said.
"You're a little young aren't you?" She asked.
"I-I" I stuttered and looked down.
"Pardon me, feel free to look around and let me know if I can help you with anything. My name is Lucy by the way." Lucy said.
"Thank you." I said and looked around.
I saw a cute little yellow outfit with booties and a little sheep on it. I took it off the rack and got a few binkies and bottles.
"Is that all?" Lucy asked.
"That's all I can afford right now." I said and paid and took my bag and ran out of the shop.
"Poor dear." Lucy said after I left.
I then started my walk home when I saw a red mustang. I started to run towards home and I was two blocks away when they got out of the car and four socs stood in front of me.
"Please leave me alone." I said and clenched my bag tightly.
"We got a pretty grease here don't we guys?" One said and and grabbed me from behind and pushed me downs
"I think this is Daxtyn's girl." One said and got on top of me.
"Well I'm sure Daxtyn won't mind if we have some fun." One said and held my arms down and another held my legs as one fondled my breast and I screamed.
"Darry! Ponyboy! Sodapop!" I yelled and one slapped me and started to kiss me to shut me up and they continue to touch me and I felt the cold surface of the blade on my body and I feared for my baby's life! I moved my head away from the guy kissing me and called my brothers again.

Sodapop's POV
Courtney's been gone for about two hours now and I had a bad feeling. I hope she was alright especially with being pregnant.
"Darry! Ponyboy! Sodapop!" I thought I heard but brushed it off. It was probably nothing. A few minutes later I heard it again and knew it was Courtney.
"Guys! Courtney!" I yelled and Pony, Darry, Two-bit, Dally, Steve, Johnny and I ran out of the house and saw someone on the ground about two blocks away with four socs on top of them. I then heard the scream and knew it was Courtney.
"Get off her!" I yelled and knocked a Soc off her and Steve knocked another one off along with Two-bit and Darry.
We then fought them off and they ran. Dally threw a branch at their car and we pounded them through their car until they drove off. I ran over to Courtney, followed by Darry, Pony and the gang.
"Are you alright Courtney?" I asked.
"Soda!" Courtney cried and hugged me tightly.
"Are you okay?" Darry said but Courtney couldn't speak.
"Courtney what happened?" Ponyboy asked.
"They held me down, fondled me and kissed me. One held a blade to my stomach."  Courtney cried.
"Shh it's gonna be okay. They ain't gonna hurt you no more." I said and Darry lifted up Courtney's shirt to check her stomach.
"They didn't do anything deep which is good." Darry said and Soda helped me up.
"Here you go Courtney." Two-bit said and handed Courtney her bag.
"Thanks." Courtney said and took it quickly.
"What you have there?" Ponyboy asked as we all walked back to the house.
"N-nothing." Courtney said then I grabbed the bag quickly.
"Soda give it back!" Courtney said annoyed as I held it out of reach.
I then threw it to Two-bit who threw it to Steve who looked in it.
"Come on guys give it back." Courtney said as it was thrown to Steve.
"Well well what do we have here. A baby outfit, some binkies and bottles." Steve said and Courtney took it from his hands.
"I saw a baby shop in town and I couldn't resist." Courtney said as we arrived at the house.
"You know we can't afford much right Courtney?" Darry said.
"I know but I just couldn't resist. I promise Darry I'll only get necessary things. I won't go crazy." Courtney said.
"Alright." Darry said with a sigh as we all walked into the house. I hoped that my sister wouldn't run into anymore trouble. She's been through enough.
