Chapter 30

Courtney's POV

It's been a month since my last appointment and I am now 4 months pregnant. I know I should be happy, but I'm not. I haven't cut or anything because the first time I did that when I found out I was pregnant still haunts me. Man, I wish I had someone to talk to other than my brothers and the gang. I wish my best friend Athena was still here. Athena and I used to be attached to the hip, but when we were twelve her parents divorced and she moved away with her mom and brother. Man I miss her. I need her right now. I thought. I got up from the bed and headed out into the living room.
"Well if it isn't Minnie Mouse? Finally decided to grace us with your presence?" Two-but said with a laugh. He was clearly drunk.
"Lay off Two-bit." I said and went to the phone.
"Who you calling?" Ponyboy asked looking up from his book.
"None of your business." I said and dialed Athena's number. I hoped she would answer.

Athena's POV
I can't believe it! I'm back in Tulsa! I have missed the smell, the fights and the gang, but mostly Courtney. Man, it seems like forever since we last saw each other. Sadly, I was living with my abusive mother, but at least I have my brother. I had just finished unpacking last night. Maybe I should visit the Curtis house? It has been awhile since I've seen the gang....and Sodapop. I thought with a blush. Man, I bet he's good looking as ever. I thought biting my lip. I bit my lip and grabbed my black leather jacket and headed towards the familiar route of the Curtis house.

Courtney's POV
She's not answering. That's strange. She usually answers right away when I call? I hope she's okay. I thought and bit my lip.
"You okay Minnie?" Johnny said making the whole gang to turn to look at me.
"Yeah. What makes you think something is wrong?" I asked and sit on the couch by Sodapop.
"You can't lie to me. I'm your twin and even if you wanted to lie to the gang you know we would pester you until we got it out of you." Sodapop said with a big grin on his face and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"So what's wrong doll?" Dally said leaning against the kitchen wall.
"Don't call me doll and I-I just miss Athena." I said getting up and going to Sodapop, Pony and I's room and laid down on the bed and buried my face in my pillow.
