I don't know where I was going, I continued to run though. I was so confused. Why did I have to kiss Bexley. Now my brothers can't even look at me. I just want to disappear. I thought as I continued to run. I know I can't though. I'm a mom. I wish I could just rewind time. I stopped to take a breath and looked behind me. Looks like I outran them. I thought and looked up to see I was at the park. I then collapsed on the ground and started to cry. Why was I such a screw up?
I then heard an engine. I looked up and saw some soc. I then got up and started to run. I then felt someone grab me and I started to scream. I was then shoved to the ground and I looked up to see Daxtyn and some soc. I tried to struggle as he got on top of me. I began to scream but he covered my mouth and I bit his hand. I then screamed again.
"Hey get off her!" They got off me and ran to the car. I then began to shake. He was out. But how? Why was he with some Soc?
"Courtney are you alright? They didn't hurt you did they?" I looked up at Sodapop.
"I'm fine." I said and got up and began to walk away.
"Courtney!" I turned around and saw Sodapop joined by Darry, Ponyboy must have been home with the twins.
"Just leave me alone!" I said and ran off again. I could hear my brothers behind me but I just continued to run.
"Courtney! Let's talk. Just stop!" I looked back to see Sodapop out of breath but Darry was right behind me. I tried to run harder but I was tackled again.
"Stop running. We need to talk." Darry said.
"Why? So you can yell at me? I'm sorry I kissed Bexley. I don't know what's wrong with me." I said and began to cry.
"There's nothing wrong with you. Darry, Ponyboy and I are just as confused. What's going on?" Sodapop asked.
"I know it's wrong but I think I have feelings for Bexley." I said
"It will take some getting used to but I support you. I can't lose you." Darry said.
"Thank you." I said.
"But you have to be careful. You know how the fuzz is. The Soc will be be no better." Darry said.
"I know. I'll tell Bexley we have to keep it on the down low." I said.
"We will protect you." Sodapop said.
"Let's go home." Darry said.
"What about Daxtyn? H-he's out." I said.
"We'll protect you from him." Darry said.
We then headed home and once we were there Pony was about to ask me a question, but I just said I would tell him tomorrow and I headed to bed.
