Aradhya's POV

" Hum kuch dino main hi ek naya ghar lenge, Ari." Mom said to me. (We will buy a new house in a few days.)

I smiled. I liked the apartment anyways. I know we were going through a crisis and my mother is a person who will never ever ask for help from someone. She is a strong and brave woman. Her self respect matters a lot to her and I respect her view. I love this personality of her.

" Koyi baat nahi, maa. Hum yeha bhi reh saktay hai." I said to her. (No, problem, mom. We can stay here as well.)

" Lekin yaha sai to tumhare school bohot dur hain, baccha." Mom said. (But your school is far away from here,love.)

" To Kya his?! Meri 'phooljhari' hain na." I said to Mom pointing my bicycle. (So what?! I have my 'phooljhari')

I call my bicycle as 'phooljhari'. I bought it with the money I have saved from my pocket money and Dee contributed a bit. I love my phooljhari a lot.

" Lekin baccha-" mom was saying but I stopped her. (But-")

" I will manage,maa. Ap chinta maat karo." (I will manage, Mom. You don't worry about it.) I said to her and she nodded weakly.

" Thik Hain. Lekin mujhe karoor bata na agar problem ho to." (Ok, do tell me if you face any problem.) Mom said and I smiled nodding.

Both Mom and I knew even if we face a problem still we have nothing to do here. We have to wait until Mom gets her salary this month. 

" Ab chaalo dinner kerke aatay hain." (Let's go have dinner) Mom said.

I thought for awhile. We should save money. My school fees are also a great issue. We can't just waste money like that.

" Maa, bahar dinner karne ki Kya jaroorat?Hum ghar per hi-" I was saying but Mom stopped me chuckling. (Mom, why to go out and have dinner? We can have-)

" Hum itni bhi crisis main nahi hai, Ari jo ek time ka khana nahi afford ker saktay." She said ruffling my hair. (We are not in that crisis that we can't afford our dinner, Ari)

I smiled at her and nodded. Though I want to save money for my school fees so bad but Mom knows the situation better. We walked out of the house locking the door and called a taxi. We reached the restaurant and went inside.

" Ari, maasi kay sath baat huyi tumhari?" Mom asked me. (Ari, have you talked to your aunt?)

" Haan, maasi ap sai bohot naraaz hai." (Yes, she is very upset with you) I said to her and she chuckled.

" Paata hai, Ari. Woh mujhe India shift hone ko bol rahi thi." (I know. She was telling me to shift to India) Mom said. Then sighed deeply. " Lekin main wapas nahi jana chati hoon. Agar hum India wapas gye to tumhe hamesa kay lie khona padega. Woha tumhare Papa ka influence bohot ziyada Hain. Main unke khilaaf kuch bhi nahi ker sakta aur nahi main tumhe kho sakti hoon." (But I don't want to go back. If we go back to India now I have to lose you. Your father has much influence there in India. Neither I can do anything there nor I can lose you) Mom said.

" Relax, maa. Kuch bhi nahi hoga. Agar woh log aye to dekh lenge unko." (Relax, Mom. Nothing will happen. If they come to find us we will deal with that) I said to my mom and she chuckled ruffling my hair.

We had dinner and walked out of there when I heard someone calling my name. I turned to see the girl whose name is Gabrielle. I smiled at her.

" Hi, Aradhya." She said.

" Hello, Gabrielle." I said to her.

" This is my grandma and grandma this this Aradhya my classmate." She said and introduced me with her grandmother.

" Hello, ma'am. Nice to meet you." I said shaking hand with her. " This is my Mom." I said to them.

" Hello, Mrs. Roy. Nice to meet you." She said to Mom. Mom smiled and shook ha d with her.

" It's Ms. Roy. Gabrielle, right?" Mom asked her. Gabrielle looked at her weirdly for awhile then smiled.

" Umm.. yes, Ms. Roy. Nice to meet you." She said to Mom.

" You guys came here for dinner?" I asked Gabrielle.

" Asher's Mom gave us a treat." She said and I smiled.

" Oh, that's great." I said to her.

" There they are." She said and I turned to see them.

The boy named Ardeyn waved at me smilingly. I smiled nodding.

" Hi, Aradhya." he said.

" Hello, Ardeyn." I said. " Hello, Asher!!!" I said to Asher who was standing there silently next to Ardeyn. " Maa, this is Ardeyn and this is Asher. They are my classmate too." I said and Mom nodded. They met my mom.

" Juliet hasn't come with you all?" I asked Gabrielle.

" No, she is too busy." Ardeyn said and Asher rolled his eyes.

" Juliet is not feeling well today. So, she didn't come." Asher said to me and I nodded. 

" Oh,ok." I said to him.

" You guys please come to our place someday. I will be very happy." Mom said to them and I nodded.

" Surely, Ms. Roy." Gabrielle said to Mom.

" Alright, we gotta go now. It's getting late. We should leave. It was very nice to meet you all." Mom said to them and they nodded.

We came out of the restaurant and was waiting for a taxi. Then a car stopped before us. I found Gabrielle and her grandmother in the car.

" Are you guys waiting for taxi?" She asked me. I nodded smilingly.

" Yes. I think we have to wait for awhile." I said to her and she smiled.

" If you want we can drop you." Gabrielle said.

" Thanks for asking, Gabrielle but ours is in the opposite way." I said to her but she wasn't convinced. So, we have to agree with her. She dropped Mom and me at our home.

" Your friends are very nice, Ari." Mom said to me. I nodded mindlessly.

I didn't have any idea if they were my friends yet or not. But let's just hope for the best.
