Burden

Aradhya's POV

" What happened, Juliet? Why are you hiding yourself like this?" I asked her. She was covering herself with a scarf and shades.

" Damien." She said.

" Which is Damien?" I asked her.

" My brother!!!" She said.

I looked at her weirdly. Her brother?!! Why will Damien reach here our of nowhere??!

" Where is he?" I looked around to find him out.

" Don't look back. He is with his girlfriend Tina." She said and I shook my head.

" Why are you hiding just because your brother is here? Doesn't he know that you came here with us?" I asked her. She shook her head.

" He doesn't know that I am here with you all. I told my parents that we are going to Liverpool." She said and I shook my head.

" Why did you lie?" I asked her.

" They wouldn't let me come with you all to Paris if they knew it wasn't Liverpool that we were going to celebrate the New Year." She said. I rolled my eyes.

" They didn't call you for once?" I asked her.

" I asked them not to." She said.

" And they agreed?" I asked her.

" I convinced them." She said to me.

" Now what are you going to do?" I asked her.

" Hiding myself from him." She said and I shook my head.

" Lattie, Damien is here." Heidi said.

" I have seen him." Juliet said.

" What now?" Heidi asked her.

" Hiding from him." She said and I shook my head.

" What if he comes to know about this?" Jordana asked her.

" He has come here with his girlfriend. That's the weak point of him. If he tries to irritate me I will also show Mom and Dad that he is breaking the promise that he made." She said twisting her lips and I shook my head. She is crazy.

" Come with me." Ardeyn said holding Juliet's hand and dragged her out of there.

" Where have the gone?" I asked.

" No idea." Jordana said.

" Girls, keep walking don't stop." Asher said from back. I nodded.

After awhile Juliet and Ardeyn joined us back.

" Your brother left?" Gabi asked. Juliet nodded.

" Thanks God!!!" Whitney said.

We were enjoying the beautiful celebration of New Year in the Disneyland. Suddenly something caught my eyes. My eyes opened widened at once. I sighed deeply.

I found my so called father with his evil wife and son. They were having a beautiful time together. I chuckled. I was very envious to the little boy who is supposed to be my step brother. I don't remember when once my father spend time with me. He never liked me in the first place. I was just like a burden to him. Both my mother and me. I don't know if once in this life he has smiled at me. The boy is do lucky. Well, what is his name??! Have I forgotten that??! My aunt told me once when he was born. He is 4 now I think. I am not sure about it.

I always wanted to have a little brother but I realized that it's impossible to have one. I am sure that the little boy doesn't know about me like I don't know his name.

" Where are you lost, Ari?" Jordana wrapped her arm around my shoulder. I chuckled.

" Nowhere." I said.

" Let's go. We are going to enjoy the rides." She said excitedly. I nodded. I was excited as well.

I looked back once more. Do I have to hide myself from my father??! But I think he is not going to recognize me even if I appear before him. Last time when we meet each other I was only 6. That was the time when my parents got divorced and he didn't even looked back at me for once when he left the Court room.

I tried to remember if there is any of good memories of mine with him or not and unfortunately I couldn't find out any of them. I have never ever spend time with him to make a good memory.

" Be careful." Asher said and I found him holding my hand dragging me with him.

" What happened?!" I asked him.

" Nothing just you were about to bump into someone." He said and I nodded.

I looked back but couldn't find them. I sighed. It's ok. I hold on myself. There is no need to think about someone who doesn't value you. I kept walking with Asher. I don't know why is this happening to me. The more I want to forget everything the more I get drowned in this. I just hate everything now.

" Are you ok?" Asher asked me.

" Yes. I am fine." I said to him.

" Guys, look here!!!" I found Whitney taking a selfie. I chuckled. This girl is a selfie Queen. I don't know what will she do with all this photos on her phone. She says one day she will make a memory book for herself. She can do that. Absolutely can do that.

" Asher!!!! Ari!!!! Look here!!!" Whitney shouted and we looked at her when she captured the moment. " Excellent shoot. I will hung this on my room on the wall of memories." She said and I shook my head.

" These girls are big drama queens." I said..

" You are not different from them. Trust me." Ardeyn said and I rolled my eyes.

" I know that. You don't have to tell me about that." I said to him and he chuckled.

" Excuse me!!!" Someone said and Asher pulled me aside from the road.

I glanced once and I kept looking at the person with cold eyes. I was right. He didn't even recognize me. He was so busy with his wife and son. I don't understand if he doesn't even recognize me then why is he up to take me back from my mother??! I need to know why does he want to take me back??! I am sure there is a reason behind that. A selfish person like him will never ever be so responsible all on a sudden. Never ever. I was never that important to her. I was always a burden to him. Just a burden.
