It's Better To Be Late Than Never

Aradhya's POV

" Maa, yeh kaun hai?" (Who is she, Mom?) I asked Mom as soon as I found the woman lying lifelessly on the hospital bed.

Just awhile back Mom called me and said that she was in the hospital and she needs my help. I was shocked then she assured that it wasn't she herself who needed help. There was someone else. I thought it might be one of her colleagues. But when I reached the hospital I wasn't able to recognize the woman. She was unknown to me. I have never ever seen her before.

" Nahi paata, Ari." (Don't know, Ari.) She said and I looked at her weirdly.

" To aapko woh kaha mili?" (Then where have you found her?) I asked Mom.

" She was crossing the road and suddenly reached before my car." Mom said and I sighed deeply.

" Doctor se baat huyi aapki?" (Have you talked to the doctor?) I asked her.

" Koyi baat nahi, main doctor se baat ker ke aati Hoon." (No worries. I will go and talk to the doctor.) I said and stood up to talk to the doctor. I reached the cabin of the doctor and knocked on the door. 

" Come in." I heard the doctor saying. I walked inside and sat across the doctor.

" Oh, Aradhya!!!" He said and I smiled.

" You know me?" I asked him.

" I am Thomas Shelton. I am a fan." He said and I smiled.

" I thought only youngsters are interested." I said.

" Wrong." He said and pointed the poster of Drama Queens on the wall of the cabin. I smiled.

" Oh, that's great." I chuckled.

" I thought you are single. Have all the girls taken secretly?" He asked me and I chuckled.

" Nope. Except Juliet and I all are single." I said to him.

" Juliet is taken as well?" He asked me.

" No. She has to marry someone her family choose. That's the reason." I said as I didn't want anyone know about Ardeyn yet.

" Oh, that's...a bit awkward." He said.

" Do you like Juliet?" I asked him.

" I love Whitney. She is my dream girl." He said and I laughed.

" She is pure single." I said to him.

" Thanks God for that." He said and I chuckled.

" Alright, I was here to talk about that patient who has brought here awhile back. How is she doing?" I asked him.

" The one your Mom brought here?" He asked me and I chuckled.

" Yes. How is she doing now?" I asked him.

" She is out of danger but we may need a blood donor immediately anytime. We are searching for the donor. If you have anyone of your friends or family members who can donate her blood contact them and tell them to be here as soon as it possible." He said to me very professionally. I sighed.

" What is her blood group?" I asked him.

" It's O-, what's yours?" He asked me.

" AB+." I said disappointedly. I took my phone and called Asher. " I am trying to arrange it. You also keep trying please." I said and stood up to leave the cabin. Asher picked the call up as soon as I came out of the cabin.

" Hello, I am on the way to the hospital." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" Tell Cole not to follow me everywhere." I said and he chuckled.

" It's for my peace of mind and you said you will not interfere in that." He said and I sighed deeply.

" Why are you talking while driving?" I asked him.

" Ardeyn has the steering wheel today." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" Listen, we need a donor immediately." I said.

" What kind of donor? Blood donor of organ donor?" He asked me.

" A blood donor of the group O-." I said to him.

" Ok, I am searching for one." He said.

" Do you match?" I asked him.

" I am O+. I am trying to find a match. Don't worry. Talk to you in 20 minutes." He said to me.

" Ok. Bye." I said and hung up. I walked toward my Mom and found my Dad came along with Mr. Bradley.

" Hey, Dad. Hi, Mr. Bradley!!" I said to them and they nodded.

" Hi, Ari." Dad said wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I smiled.

" We need a blood donor." I said to Dad.

" Of which group?" Dad asked me.

" O-." I said to him.

" I am O-". Mr. Bradley said and I smiled.

" Are are eligible for donating blood?" I asked him. He chuckled.

" Let's go and talk to the doctor." He said and I nodded walking out of there with Mr. Bradley.

Arjun's POV

As soon as I found my little girl walking on the corridor we reached her. She was talking about the blood donor for the patient. Everytime I see her I feel so proud of being the father of this beautiful girl. She has grown up very responsible. The way she think about her family is a bit childish but she do everything for the happiness of the people she loves. As Jacob left with Ari to donate blood to the patient I sat next to Shivaani who was looking very weak. She must be tensed about something. It can be about Jacob.

" Kaisy ho, Shivaani?" (How are you doing, Shivaani?) I asked her.

" Main to thik hoon, aap kuch dino se itna busy kaisy hogye?" (I am fine but why you are you so busy these days?) She asked me.

" There are loads of pending works to do. I was planning to open a new branch of my hotels in London. That's why." I said to her.

" Oh, ok." She said.

" Mujhe tumse kuch kehna tha, Sivaani." (I wanted to tell you something, Shivaani) I said to her and she looked at me.

" Kya bolna tha?" (What is that?) She asked me.

" Dekho mujhe paata hai k mujhe tumhare personal life main interfere nahi kerna chahiye lekin main aab chup nahi reh sakta, Shivaani. Mujhse yeh saab dekha nahi ja raha. Main dekh rahi hoon tumhe aur Jacob ko bhi. Kaab taak khud ko aur usko tadpate rahoge?" (Look, I know that I should not interfere in your personal life but I can't sit here quietly anymore. I can't let things be like this anymore. I am watching both of you. How long will you keep writhing both of you?) I asked her.

" Mujhse yeh nahi hoga. Mujhe Ari k maa baan k hi rehne dijiye." (I can't do that. Let me remain Ari's mother) she said and I sighed.

" Jacob ne to tumhe nahi roka. Tum uske saath ho k bhi Ari k maa hi rahoge. Ari se Jacob utna hi pyaar kerte hain jitna tum aur main kerti hoon. Jiss bande ne itne saalo se tumhara intejaar kiya uske feelings aur emotions k koyi qadar nahi hai, hai na?" (Jacob wouln't stop you from being Ari's mom. You can still remain Ari's mother when you will be with him. He loves Ari as much as you and I do. The guy who waited for you all these years, you don't care about his feelings and emotions, do you?) I asked her knowing that I hit the right button. There were no other way left but to emotionally blackmailing her.

Someone said it right that, there no wrong means when you try to do something right. When you try to make things right every possible way you try is right. She was looking at me confusedly. I chuckled inwardly. God bless both of them who deserve a happy life together. Doesn't matter if it's late. It's better to be late than never.
