Aradhya's POV
I was standing there on the corner of the ballroom of Clayton House. Actually, Whitney's father is coming back home from his mission after a year. They arranged a welcome party for her father. There were a lot of people around. Of course most of them were unknown to me. Whitney's relatives and friends. I was feeling out of this place. Where are my friends?!!
" Hi!!" I turned to see Eros. I smiled at him.
" Hi, Eros!!!" I said to him.
" Why are you standing alone here?! They are there." He said and I smiled.
" Thanks. I was looking for them." I said to him and he nodded.
" No worries at all." He said to me. I nodded and walked toward Whitney.
" Hey, Ari!!" Juliet wrapped her arm around my shoulder. " Where were you?" She asked me.
" I was looking for you guys." I said to her and she nodded.
" Oh, sorry. We were a bit busy here arranging all the stuffs." She said and I nodded.
" No worries." I said to her. She nodded.
" What to do now, Lattie?!" Heidi asked Juliet. I looked at the girls and I knew that something was wrong. " Oh, Hey, Ari!!!" Heidi said to me and I smiled.
" Hi!!" I said to her.
" Where is Gabi?" Juliet asked Heidi.
" She is in Whitney's room and Dana is with her." Heidi said.
" What happened here?! Why are you guys looking so tensed?" I asked them. Juliet sighed deeply.
" Actually we requested Gabi to sing a song for Mr. Clayton as he is coming back home after a long time. She wasn't comfortable at first but we forced her to do so and she agreed as well. But the pianist is not coming cause she has a terrible fever today. Can't leave the bed. Gabi is not comfortable with someone else. I don't know what to do now." Juliet said and I nodded.
" I can understand." I said to her. " Will she be comfortable with me?!" I asked her.
" Can you play piano?" She asked me and I chuckled.
" It's been awhile since I have played it but I think I can manage." I said to her and she smiled.
" Great!!! Let's go." She said to me.
" Where?!" I asked her.
" To convince Gabi." She said. I nodded.
We went upstairs and found Jordana and Gabrielle there in the room. Jordana was trying to convince Gabrielle.
" Where is Whitney?" I asked Heidi.
" Oh, she is attending the guests with Asher and Ardeyn." She said.
" They also came?" I asked her.
" Of course. Why won't they?!" She said chuckled and I smiled a bit.
I love their friendship. How they always have each other's back every single time. If people have such true friends in their lives then lives can be much easier. But now a days it's hard to find out those true friends. Cause, people are so selfish and self-centered these days. They will not be a good friend for you if they don't have any benefit from you. Most of the people doesn't actually have any idea about the true meaning of friendship. Then how will they be true friends?!!
" Where are you lost, Ari?" Heidi asked me and I smiled.
" Nowhere. That's great that they came." I said to her and she chuckled.
" Ari, come here." Juliet called me. I nodded and walked toward them. " See, here's Ari. I am not lying, Gabi." Juliet said and Gabrielle who just nodded.
" Aren't you comfortable with Ari as well?" Jordana asked her and she sighed.
" I am." Gabi said.
" Then go and rock it." Heidi said.
" Then you guys come and sing with me." Gabi said and Juliet sighed.
" It's all about you, Gabi. We can't take your place but we can support you from behind. We will be around. Come on. It's your dream to be on the stage. Then start it from home. You will be much comfortable later on stage for that experience." Juliet said. I nodded.
" I don't think I can do it " Gabrielle said.
" You can. Don't think like that. You are a brave girl, Gabi and Ari will be with you as well." Juliet said.
" Yes, Gabi. Don't be nervous. Deep breath in deep breath out." Heidi said and Jordana rolled her eyes.
" Give some effective advice." Jordana said.
" It's a 100% effective advice." Heidi said and Juliet rolled her eyes.
" Stop bickering. You guys are making her more nervous." Juliet said to both of them.
They stopped but kept glaring at each other. I shook my head chuckling. They are always ready to create world war 3 but they are never successful because of Whitney, Gabrielle and Juliet. Too childish they are. Drama Queens!!! All of the girls of the group are. Including me. I chuckled.
" Guys, are you ready? Gabi are you comfortable?!" Whitney asked as she came inside the room.
" Yup. Ari will play the piano." Heidi said. Whitney turned to me and smiled.
" That's great. Don't hesitate now, Gabi. We all will be there around you." Whitney said and I nodded.
" Which song it is?" I asked. They enlightened me and I smiled.
" The perfect one." I said and played the song once.
We came downstairs after awhile and I found Whitney hugging someone in his uniform. That must be Whitney's father. Her mother was hugging them both. Happy family. I smiled. Though I miss my father a lot but I will pray that no one have such a father who is selfish and self-centered. People were cheering for them. I could feel the emotions in the room. Whitney and her parents were crying. It touched my heart. I tried to remember if there's one good memory of mine with my father but I couldn't remember any. My father was always busy. He didn't have time for me of my mother. I didn't have much time to make a good memory with him. Did he ever hug me like this with love?!! No. Not even once in my life. I never ever had a father figure in my life.
" Come, it's time." Heidi said and I sat before the piano.
" Ladies and gentlemen, we have a little surprise for Mr. Clayton." Juliet said.
I started to play the piano and Gabrielle started to sing. I never knew that she has such a beautiful voice.
People were definitely mesmerized with Gabrielle's voice. I myself am. The emotions in the song matched the situation perfectly.
