Trip To Paris

Aradhya's POV

It's been a week that the exams ended. I was giving the full time on my job now. My exam was not very satisfying. I just wish that I pass. A good grade doesn't matter anyways.

" How are you doing today?" I asked Joan who was looking very tired today.

" I am done." She said. I chuckled.

" Do you need a coffee?" I asked her.

" I had one while coming here." She said. I nodded.

" Do you want to exchange?" I asked her.

" No. It's ok. No worries." She said to me. I nodded.

" Ok then." I said to her.

She changed her clothes and went out of there. I was sitting there before the phone. It started to snow outside. It was December 18th. The Christmas was going to be celebrated in a few days. It was a festive season and festive mood all around. The city was getting decorated beautifully for two special occasions. Christmas and new year. I had my winter vacation so does Mom. Mom is busy with her pending works which she is doing from home. I should spend time with her as well. I was thinking about these when I got a call and I picked it up at once.

" Good afternoon!!! Sejal's Dine. How can I help you?" I said to the customer.

" Hello. I’d like to make an order." The person from the other side of the phone said. 

" Okay. For pick-up or delivery, Sir?" I asked him.

" Oh, for delivery please." He said. I note it down.

" Can I have your address please?" I asked him.

" 567 Abbey Road." He said. I noted down the address.

" Is that a house or an apartment?" I asked him.

" A house." He said.

" And your phone number that we can contact you?" I asked him. He gave me his contact number. " Great. What would you like to order?" I asked him.

" I’ll have your combo 3 which I have had last time and it was amazing." He said and I checked the combo 3. Okay, this guy has a sweet tooth inside.

" Anything else you would like to have?" I asked him.

" No, that's enough." He said.

" Okay. Would you like anything to drink?" I asked him.

" Can I have a mango lachi?" He asked and I rolled my eyes. Lassi, stupid. It called lassi. Duffer.

" Mango lassi, is that all?" I asked him.

" Can I have this one sugar free?" He asked me and I was confused.

" Are you sure?" I asked him.

" Yes." He said.

" Ok. Then one combo 3 and one mango lassi without sugar. That's all or you want to order something else too?" I asked him.

" No, thanks. That’s everything." He said. I nodded.

" Okay. That will be £25.53." I said to him.

" Really? Why is it so much?" He asked me.

" There is a small £3 delivery fee." I said to him.

" I see. Okay. How long will it take to deliver?" He asked me.

" It will take around an hour." I said to him.

" Okay. Thanks." He said.

" Thank you for calling Sejal's Dine. Have a great evening." I said to him and sighed deeply.

How can someone have all sweet dishes for dinner?!! I can't even imagine living a single day without spicy foods. Spice is love. I kept the phone back and found Joan coming inside angrily. I looked at her weirdly. I was confused. Why is she in rage now?!

" What happened now, girl?" I asked her.

" There is an assh*le." She said.

" What happened, girl?! Calm down. Be professional." I said to her and she sighed deeply.

" What happened actually?" I asked her.

" That bast*rd is just .... urrgghh..." She walked into the washroom and then came back after awhile.

" Are you okay?! Or do you need a help? If it's getting on your nerves then let's exchange for this evening." I asked her and she didn't answer.

" I will handle it. It's my problem to face." She said and I nodded without having any clue about what was happening. She walked out of there.

" What happened?" Sejal asked me as she walked in the room.

" Nothing, Sejal. Everything is fine." I said to her and she narrowed her eyes.

" Why was Joan so irritated suddenly?" She asked me.

" Oh, she was in a bit pressure of studies." I said to her.

" It's winter vacation, Aradhya." She said to me and I sighed. Lying is a worst habit. 

" I mean the chapters which is pending to complete in her winter vacation." I said to her and she nodded.

" Ok, then." She walked out of there.

The working hours ended and Joan was looking very upset today. I was trying to ask her exactly what happened. But I don't know if it was the right time to ask her about that or not.

" Everything okay, Joan?" I asked her as we walked out of there. She sighed deeply.

" Everything is not okay." She said. I was around to say something but I heard someone calling me before that.

" Ari!!!" I heard Ardeyn's voice. I turned to see Asher and Ardeyn.

" Hey, guys!!!" I said smilingly. " What are you guys doing here?" I asked them.

" That's not a big question." Ardeyn said. I rolled my eyes.

" Joan, they are my friends. Asher and Ardeyn. And guys, she is my colleague Joan." I introduced them.

" Nice to meet you, guys." Joan said smilingly. " I should go now, Ari. I am getting late. I have to reach the dormitory as soon as it possible." Joan said to me.

" Let's go then. I will walk with you till your dorm." I said to her but she shook her head.

" It's ok. I will manage. You don't have to. You have time with your friends. See you tomorrow." She said and I smiled.

" Ok then. Goodnight." I said to her and she nodded before walking out of there

" Goodnight." Joan said and walked out of there.

" What are you guys doing here?" I narrowed my eyes at them.

" Ari, we are going to Paris next weekend." Ardeyn said and I rolled my eyes.

" Great. But why suddenly?" I asked him.

" To have a vacation." He said. I rolled my eyes.

" Ok then." I said to him.

" Well, that's not the point. The point is you are coming with us as well." he said.

" Impossible." I said.

" Your words don't matter. Your mother gave a green signal." He said. I looked at them weirdly.

" You guys have talked to my mom?" I asked him and he nodded smirking at me.

" Traitor!!!" I said to him. He chuckled.

" Everything is fair in love and war." Ardeyn said winking at Asher and I rolled my eyes.

" Most awkward line from you in a situation like this." I said to him. I shook my head.

I have to take a leave now for a trip to Paris. I am not sure if I will be able to manage it or not.
