Facing It

Aradhya's POV

" Gabi, hold on yourself. You are a strong girl. Everything will be ok. Doctor said that it's curable." Jordana said to Gabi trying to encourage her but she was still crying.

I sighed deeply. We were sitting in the hospital corridor. Just awhile back we came to know a cruel truth about Gabi's grandmother. The doctor just informed us that she is suffering from cancer. And it is from long back. She hide it from Gabi all the time but it was a serious issue now and can't be hidden anymore. Gabi broke down completely. We can't make her feel better just by consoling her. It's a horrible situation around.

" She never ever let me know about all these." Gabi said and I sighed.

" She wanted you to live peacefully without any worries. She didn't want you to break down like this. That's why she hid it all the time. But you yourself are breaking down now which will make her discouraged, Gabi. You have to be brave and fight this situation. You can't break down that easily. This is not you, Gabi. You are a brave girl and you have to prove it now." I said to her.

" I am not brave." She said sobbing.

" Gabi, you have to do it. For your grandmother." Jordana said.

" I ... I can't." Gabi said crying hysterically. I hugged her tightly.

" Everything will be fine, Gabi. Keep faith in God. He knows things better. What is lotted can not be blotted. We have to accept the fate. We still have time to fight this crucial time. Your grandmother will get around. Don't worry. We will consult with the best doctors of the world. We will fight with this situation for something good for us. This time will gone and the future will come bringing the happiness." Whitney said.

" Whitney is right, Gabi. Doctor said it's curable. She will recover. If you yourself break down then how will we handle this situation?!" Heidi said running her fingers through Gabi's hair.

I found Asher and Ardeyn coming toward us. I stood up and reached them. They came from the college I think. Whitney called Asher to inform him everything earlier. They came to the hospital immediately, I think they have bunked classes as well for that.

" How is Mrs. Cassidy, Ari?" Ardeyn asked holding my hand.

" She is still sleeping. Gabi has been broken down completely." I said to him and he walked toward the girl.

As soon as he reached the girls Heidi stood up and let him sit next to Gabi who was still crying. Ardeyn tried to convince Gabi but she started to cry again hugging him tightly. I sighed deeply.

" When have you brought her here?" Asher asked me.

" We went to Cassidy's place this morning then she felt sick. We brought her to the hospital. The doctor told everything just awhile back. Gabi is completely broken down. She will not be able to handle herself if something happens to Mrs. Cassidy." I said and Asher nodded.

" We have to think that something will happen. We have to keep ourselves mentally prepared, Aradhya. If we break down then we won't be able to handle this situation and won't be able to help Gabi." He said and I found Cassius reaching us.

" How is Mrs. Cassidy doing now, Asher?" He asked Asher.

" I haven't talked to the doctor yet but Aradhya said no progress. She is still unconscious." Asher said.

" Oh." He said with a tensed face and turned to see Gabi who was still crying. Ardeyn and the girls were trying to console her.

" Is she crying from long?" He asked me hesitatingly.

" Yes. It's it obvious!!" I said to him and he nodded.

" I will go and talk to her." He said and I nodded.

Asher hold my hand and dragged me out of there. I looked at him weirdly. What's with him now???

" What happened?" I asked him.

" Why are you so uncomfortable with Cassius?" He asked me.

" Cause I don't even know him properly." I said to him.

" He is a nice guy. You guys always act like he is a virus." He said to me and I rolled my eyes.

" Who knows!!! He is Osbourne's nephew. Osbourne are no less than virus." I said to him.

" Never judge a book by it's cover, isn't that which you kept saying all the time before? Have you forgotten it already? He is Osbourne's nephew doesn't mean that he is also evil like them." He said.

" How can you say that very confidently that he is not at all a bad person?" I asked him.

" I know that he is a good guy. Isn't that enough for you to trust that?" He asked me and I sighed deeply.

" I hate it when someone emotionally blackmails me." I said to him.

" But you can do it to everyone around, right?" He asked me. I rolled my eyes.

" I do trust you. If you are saying this then I am ready to believe him." I said to him and he chuckled.

" Very well." He said. " Have you talked to the doctor?" He asked me.

" No, doctor has just informed us about Mrs. Cassidy's cancer and Gabi broke into tears at once that he couldn't continue. He just said that it's curable and she can get well soon." I said to him.

" I see. I will go and talk to the doctor." He said.

" I will accompany you." I said and he nodded.

" Ok. Come with me." He said. I was very tensed if everything will be ok or not. We reached the doctor's cabin and he gestured us to sit across him.

" Everything ok, doctor?" Asher asked him.

" Mrs. Cassidy is in the primary stage now. She can get around but it will take time." The doctor said.

" Should we start the treatment now?" Asher asked him.

" Yes. As soon as it possible." He said.

" Ok, then you start the treatment. We are ready for that." Asher said to him. He nodded.

" Don't break down. No one can change the plans of God." He said smilingly. Asher nodded.

I sighed deeply. Where are we standing now in this situation?!! There is no other way except facing it now.
