Asher's POV

She was looking around at the road confusedly. I hold her wrist and dragged her out of there.

" You ok?" I asked her. She nodded.

" I am fine." She said to me.

" Then what were you doing in the middle of the road?" I asked her. She sighed deeply.

" Was a bit... You know... Leave it. My notebook?" She asked me and I handed her the notebook.

" Thank you so much for this." She said to me. I nodded.

" Come. Have a coffee." She said as she walked toward her house. I knew she will keep whining until I get convinced to have coffee. So, I followed her. She opened the door and turned the lights on.

" Where is your mom?" I asked her.

" Oh, she is talking to Mrs. Bradley. She will be back soon." She said to me and walked toward the kitchen. I sat there silently.

I found the family photos of Aradhya hanging there on the wall. There were her mother with her and rest of the people were unknown to me.

" They are our neighbors in Dubai." I heard Aradhya who was coming back from the kitchen with coffee.

" Oh, I see." I said to her smilingly.

" Rest of the photos we have lost while shifting here. I couldn't find the bag I put them in. I have to ask Dee for the photos. I don't have any backups either." She said shaking her head. I chuckled taking the coffee cup from her. " I still miss Dubai!!!" She said sadly.

" You were born in Dubai?" I asked her just to change the topic.

" Nope. I was born in Delhi." She said. "Delhi the capital of India." She said. I chuckled.

" I know that." I said to her.

" Most of the people around don't." She said smiling sweetly. I didn't say anything.

I didn't want her to know that I have already made a research about her and after a few days I will a living encyclopedia about her.

" And many of the people around still judge people with their skin tone. Aren't brown people human as well?!" She said and I nodded.

" I agree with that." I said. She chuckled.

" If my Dad's ji was here he wouldn't allow you to come in the house. But I am afraid that he wouldn't agree to set his foot on any British region. He hates them like hell." She said and I narrowed my eyes at her.

" Who is that?" I asked her.

" Dada ji. My parental grandfather. My great grandfather was a freedom fighter. If you have studied about history then you may know this chapter." She said to me. I nodded. " Once my aunt brought a British tourist as a guest at our place. I was 2 or 3 then. My grandfather had made his life hell the few days he was staying with us." She said and chuckled.

" How do you remember that?! You were only 2 or 3 then, right?" I asked her.

" My aunt has said that to me a few days back when we were shifting here in London. I definitely don't remember anything about that incident." She said. " The only person whom I talk to from my father's family is my aunt." She said taking a sip of the coffee.

" Do you have the same thought like your grandfather?" I asked her and she chuckled.

" Nope. I hate him." She said and I looked at her weirdly.

" Why?" I asked her. It may be personal matter. I shouldn't ask her. " It's ok. You don't have to tell me that." I said to her.

" He doesn't like my mom and me. So, I don't like him either. That's the point." She said.

I narrowed my eyes. Who won't like a girl like her?!! Is her grandfather blind?! I have doubt about that. Anyways, he and his thoughts are not at all my headache until he bothers Aradhya.

" Oh. That's it." I said sipping the coffee.

" I saw your mom on TV last night." She said to me and I chuckled.

" You know my mom?" I asked her. She chuckled.

" Juliet showed me one of your family photos." She said shrugging. I nodded. "Your parents are power couple." She said and I chuckled.

" Yeah. They are always busy." I said to her. She nodded.

" You still have them. You're lucky that you have both of them." She said smilingly and I sighed inwardly looking at her.

That one sentence indicates how deeply her father has hurt her. He doesn't deserve to be a father. He doesn't. Not at all. I can't even imagine living with one of my parents neither I can imagine then getting separated. I know they will not be able to live without each other. I have seen this all the time that no matter how busy they are they always try to find out time for each other and me. I really appreciate that dedication of their for their relationship.

" It's their work. You can't whine all the time. But you can ask your parents for another sibling. Then you can be busy as well." She chuckled. I smiled.

" One Ardeyn is enough to keep me busy. No more Ardeyn is needed." I said and she chuckled.

" Does Ardeyn always stay with you?" She asked me. I chuckled.

" Most of the time." I said to her.

" Doesn't he miss his parents as well?" She asked me.

" We are in the same boat. His parents are busy as well. Whenever they are at home Ardeyn goes back to Northscott's place. Other than that he is always at Milverton's place." I said. " Infact, he is sleeping in my room right now." I said and she chuckled.

" You guys are inseparable." She said to me and I nodded.

" I am just curious to know who is the older cousin?" She asked and I chuckled.

" Ardeyn is 2 months younger than me." I said to her and she nodded.

" I am the youngest cousin of my clan until now." She said and I chuckled. " My aunt has to get married yet." She said and I nodded. She kept talking about her aunt this time. I sighed. She was talking non-stop. I thought she is a calm and quiet person but I was wrong I think. I chuckled inwardly.
