Aradhya's POV

" Your mom was my younger sister." Bua g said. " My parents send her to boarding school when was very young. When she was in college left home and my parents were definitely a big reason for that. They never loved her like they used to love their other kids. They always kept her away from them. She never had their love like we other siblings had." She said to me.

" But why?!!" I asked her.

" Cause, she was had a dark complexion. That's why they didn't treat her the way they should." She said and I looked at her weirdly. Then I sighed deeply. My grandparents are most hatred personality for me in this world.

" They had a valid reason." I said sarcastically. Who hates their own kid?!!! My bua g sighed deeply.

" She never came back home even in the occasions." She said. " She has always been neglected since her childhood. Everyone used to make fun of her. Her dark complexion made her life hell. No one used to support her except me and Ponaam but when she used see that everyone is making fun of her she started to hate everyone. Even if Poonam and me too. When she left home for boarding school we tried a lot to convince our parents not to send her away but they never listened to us. They send her away. She was very lonely there. Her fellow classmates kept making fun of her and she kept herself away from everyone. She needed help that time but no one actually helped her at all. She started to hate everyone and become very calm and quiet. Whenever she used to come home from occasions things used to get even worsen. Cause, my parents never bothered to buy gifts for her when they spoiled other kids with gifs. Poonam and I used to save our money and buy her gifts. She knew that it was Poonam and I who bought her gifts not our parents but she never ever complained about it. When she grown up she understood that this distance between her and her parents will never ever be fade away. So, she decided to avoid them. She never ever attended family functions cause she knew that she will be insulted my the relatives their because of her dark skin. She left home when she was in college. She never contacted with her family and my parents also didn't bother about it. Poonam and I secretly contact her. One day she appeared with Arjun saying that they were going to get married soon. I told her to convince our parents for this but she didn't want to. She wanted to have a smooth life without anyone neglecting her. Soon they got married and settled in another city. But she forgot that she was born in a cursed society where men can have a dark complexion but girls are not allowed to be dark skinned. Purvi's in laws never liked her. Arjun used to work in Indian army then. He was sent to Kashmir for a mission. Then Purvi called Ponaam one night that she was pregnant. Ponaam went to stay with her cause she was all alone that time. A few weeks later we got a news that they lost connection with the headquarters and there was no news about them. One month after that incident they declared that the group of soldiers were no more. They couldn't even find their bodies. Having no other options we brought Purvi back to home which was biggest mistake of our lives. We somehow convinced our parents so that they allow her to live with us. But they had a condition that Purvi has to get an abortion cause our relatives and friends didn't know that she was married. It was too late to do so. People started to ask questions about Purvi then my parents send us to Shimla along with Purvi. They kept saying to people that Purvi has been mentally unstable for that she has to move to another place to make herself feel better. They convinced the relatives that it was Shivaani who was pregnant not Purvi. In between all these, Purvi passed away while giving birth to you and Shivaani became your mother. But Vikram never ever want to have a child with her. He married her because of a business deal. He wanted to divorce her and marry Shagun from the start. And this action encouraged him more." She said and I had no words to say.

" Vikram started to live with Shagun and never came back home. He seldom came home but never talked to Shivaani whom he disliked from the start. Then after a few years they got divorced. My parents supported him as well cause they wanted Shivaani to leave you in any orphanage but she deny. They thought if your truth comes to light then Poonam and my married life would be hell. So, it was easier for Vikram to get rid of Shivaani." She said and I looked at Mom who was sitting there calmly. They blamed her for something that she has never ever done?!!

" Then?" I asked her.

" It was very difficult for Shivaani to live there in India with you. You know life of a divorcee woman is never easy and she moved to Dubai with you." She said and I nodded.

" But if my father died in Kashmir how come he is alive now?" I asked her.

" He never died in Kashmir. They lost all connections with the headquarters. When he came back his family convinced him that Purvi ran away with someone else. A few years back he came to know the truth and started to reach Poonam and me to know where are you. I thought I wouldn't tell him about you but he kept begging again and again. So, I told him that you were going there in India last month. But before he could meet you that accident happened." She said and I sighed deeply.

" In all these story I didn't understand why your brother wanted to kill me. Just because of money?! Does money matter that much??!" I asked her and she sighed deeply.

" I will not support my brother cause I know that he has wronged you guys all along but my parents were also reason behind this." She said.

" If they support him all the time then what is the drama behind disowning him?!" I asked her.

" Cause, Shagun was too much for them to handle. She made their lives hell. So, having no other option left they had to disown Vikram to kick them out of the house." She said and I sighed deeply.

In all these dramas, two innocent people suffered the most. My Mom and my biological mother. It didn't help me a bit but hating those people even more now. My brain was loaded with some trash in disguise of memories.
