I am very excited. Today I am going to enlist in the war. I may only be 10, but I can't just sit around while everyone's fighting this war. I hope I won't be given away. Maybe they will just think I'm short.

I'm in. I'm not exactly sure where I'm supposed to be going, but they were talking about a general named Washington at a nearby camp. I'll go find this general Washington and join his battalion and fight! I can't wait!
