Washington's POV

MY SON HAS BEEN GONE FOR HOURS THIS IS BAD! Where could he be? My son better be inside the camp or... He could be... No. He's to strong for that he must be alive! If he is dead though... He won't. He has to be alive. I should have never let him go alone. I better look for him now. He's got to be ok.
"SON! Excuse me, have you seen my son, Hamilton?" Ive said at least a dozen times. He's got to be near. SON? He's by the pond. HES BY THE POND, BLEEDING AND FREEZING!!
"Son?" He's unconscious. I better get him inside fast or who knows what will happen to him. I'm so relieved he's alive though. If he wasn't... No. He's alive. That's all that matters.

Hamilton's POV

Mmmm... Where... AGH! MY ARM!! What's going on? Why is it so cold here? Is that? Mr. Washington?
"S-sir, w-what's going on?"
"We found you freezing by the pond with a knife in your arm. Do you remember what happened?"
I do. But if I tell him *flashback*
"If for some reason you do stay alive... YOU WILL TELL NO I DID THIS." *flashback over* umm I'll just tell him I don't remember. That can't hurt, right?
"I... Can't remember what happened." Problem solved. I'm safe from HIM!

Washington's POV

If my son can't remember what happened, does this mean he damaged his brain?? Is this way worse than I thought? When I take him to the tent tomorrow, should I let him be on his own again? Or will be be attacked? I better have someone spy on him just to make sure. He won't have to know, and he'll stay safe! Perfect! But who should spy on him? Laf? Herc? John? A soldier? I'll have his friends do it for now so it's not too suspicious. Why can't my son just stay out of trouble like Laf? It doesn't matter. He's my  son. I'm so proud of him.
"Son? Would you like to rest in the tent?"
"Y-yes!"
"Alright. Stay wrapped up."
I need to find whoever did this to him and bring them to justice. I don't want anyone to hurt my son anymore. Maybe if that person comes back to beat him up again, I can be alerted and duel them right then and there. Or just shoot if they will not duel or come down peacefully. I do not wish to kill whoever this is if he is a patriot, but I need to protect my sons. If I lose them I lose everything except Martha. I know Martha loves our bois too. I write to her all the time about them. And if they were to die, I would be next. Oh we're already here.
