He was terrified. He didn't want to speak; surely they'll recognize his voice as one that wasn't like theirs. Surely they'd figure it out.

"You don't talk much, do you?" Jeff asked curiously when he hadn't said anything.

He shrugged.

"Sebastian, are you okay?" Nick asked softly, not paying attention to Jeff and Thad. "You seem down."

Sebastian sighed, setting down his fork. He hadn't eaten anything, he was just messing with his food moodily. "I'm just not really excited for Hunter to get back," he admitted.

Nick frowned. "Are you two fighting?"

"Something like that," Sebastian mumbled, taking a drink of water.

"Something like that?" Nick repeated, looking even more worried.

Sebastian sighed. "We fight too much. In all honesty, it's damaging. I'm going to break up with him," he said quietly.

"Damaging?"

"You haven't heard him when he's angry. He... the things he says, they're... damaging," he repeated the word for want of a better one. He sighed again. "You'll see what I mean soon."
