Matt's symptoms only seemed to be getting worse as the week went on, but the only time he could get an appointment was on Friday.

"So, you're here on an account of low blood sugar levels?" a doctor asked when he walked in.

"Well, I mean, I thought it was that at first, because I'm getting all these dizzy spells, you know? But since the day I set this appointment it got worse, and I actually feel nauseous sometimes," Matt rushed out.

The doctor nodded as he spoke, making notes. "Have you thrown up?"

"Yes."

"Have you engaged in unprotected sex in the last few weeks?"

"Ye– wait, I don't have an STD, do I? We were both clean, it can't-"

"You don't have an STD," the doctor informed him.

"Oh, thank–"

"–You're pregnant."

"–god– I'm sorry, what?"

"You're pregnant," he repeated.

Matt shook his head slowly. "That's not possible. That's not possible. That can't be possible. That's possible?!"

"You have all the parts necessary, so yes, it is possible. Rare, but possible."

"Nobody told me that!"

"Please stay calm, Matthew. We would have to do an ultrasound to find out for sure."

"Okay." He took a breath. "Okay."

They walked down to a separate room, where apparently they kept an ultrasound machine.

Matt hardly noticed anything, eyes fixated on the screen.

He was too stunned to say anything. That was growing inside him. It sounded strange and, well, it was strange.

"Yep, you're pregnant."

Matt nodded slowly. "Yeah, I, I can see that."
