Despite the constant questioning of what had happened to Jeff, the next week went rather smoothly. Sawyer had joined the lacrosse team, surprising them with his talent. Hunter avoided Blake, who was beginning to hate Thad.
Sebastian was gone more and more to lacrosse practice as the season got closer and closer, which Matt was not fond of.
Besides just wanting to spend time with his boyfriend, Sebastian was something of a calming force. Matt could only fret about how flat his stomach still was when Sebastian was gone.
It's not like he'd like all of Dalton to know, but he'd rather his child was healthy than secretive.
He knew his fuss was ridiculous, but he couldn't help being worried. He hadn't even hit twelve weeks yet.
"Hello? Earth to Matt." Matt noticed someone slowly waving a hand across his line of vision and blinked, pulled out of his thoughts.
"Hm?"
Sebastian chuckled, sitting next to him. "What's on your mind?"
"Nothing, just... thinking."
Sebastian's eyes flickered down to where Matt's arms were wrapped around his stomach and his expression softened. "Matt, it's going to be okay, alright?"
"I know my worrying is ridiculous–"
"I'm going to stop you there. Your feelings aren't ridiculous, they're perfectly valid. We could make an appointment so we'd be a hundred precent sure everything's fine."
Matt smiled, leaning into Sebastian's shoulder. "That'd be nice. Have I told you I love you?"
"Hm, say it again just to be sure."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
