Matt gently pushed open the door. "Sebastian? You in here?"
"No," a voice answered.
Matt entered the room and looked around, seeing Sebastian sitting in the corner, hunched over a sketchbook.
"You know, it's counter productive to say 'no' when someone asks if you're there," Matt said offhandedly, not walking over to him.
Sebastian sighed, letting his head fall back against the wall. "I'm sorry I got testy earlier, okay? I'm just... I don't know, it psyched me out."
Matt walked over, sitting next to him. Sebastian closed the sketchbook and set it on his other side.
"What did you mean when you said it was kinda about your parents?"
Sebastian shook his head. "I told you I don't want to talk about it."
"What happened to telling each other everything?" Matt asked softly.
"What does it mean when somebody else shows up in your dream?" Sebastian blurted out. "It's been killing me. That's what's psyching me out. There was someone else in my dream, and my parents were hurting them, and I couldn't do anything, and they looked so betrayed-"
Sebastian buried his face in Matt's shoulder, who immediately readjusted his position so he could hug him. He could hear Sebastian crying.
"I'd say it's because you can't get them off your mind. I'd say you're worried about them, or you're interested in them but afraid of them getting hurt or hating you if they get too close to you."
Sebastian let out a watery chuckle. "That second one was oddly detailed."
"I might be having a bit of trouble with that myself," he admitted.
