When they were alone in the dorm, Matt pulled Sebastian into the bathroom. "Can I see them?"

Sebastian looked a bit alarmed. "What?"

"I just want to make sure you're okay. Besides," he gave him a crooked smile, "someone has to know what it looks like now to make sure you don't keep doing it."

"I didn't think about that," Sebastian admitted.

"Good thing I'm here, then."

Sebastian chuckled. "Yeah. And yeah, you can see them. If you really want to."

"What I really want to do is help you. This is part of that."

Matt's calloused yet soft fingers delicately began to unbutton Sebastian's shirt.

Matt's eyes were fixated on the buttons, but Sebastian wasn't quite sure where to look. He could comfortably look over Matt's head, but that was kind of strange. Making eye contact was weirder, though.

He ended up just looking at Matt. His always-messy dark hair, the splash of freckles across his nose and cheeks, his softer and less sharp jawline than most, the long eyelashes that hid his brown eyes.

Before he knew it, Matt had reached the end of his shirt. He pushed it open, and Sebastian shivered. Matt glanced up at him.

"Sorry. It's just cold."

Matt bit his lip. "Damn, I didn't think about that. My hands aren't too cold, are they?"

"No, they're- they're actually quite warm," Sebastian said quickly. His face was flushed slightly.

"Oh. Um, good." A slight blush spread across Matt's splatter of freckles.

He looked back down from Sebastian's eyes, lips slightly parted in wow.

His fingers glided across one of the letters on Sebastian's torso. Sebastian shivered again.

"Do I have your permission to murder Hunter?" he asked softly.

Sebastian chuckled. "I thought you weren't a violent person."

"I'll make an exception for you."

"I appreciate it, but I'd rather you weren't in jail. Besides, what would I do without you?"

Sebastian realized his usual joking manner wasn't the best when practically shirtless and locked in a bathroom with another guy. He just hoped Matt hadn't noticed how he'd flinch whenever he moved suddenly; that was the only thing that could make this more awkward.

Matt chuckled. "True." He suddenly looked up at Sebastian seriously. "You'll stop, right?"

Sebastian bit his lip. "I'll try."

"Can you promise me something?"

"Depends on what it is." Sebastian was always careful with promises.

"Tell me if you ever feel like doing that again. Just tell me, and I'll be there. Even if it's one in the morning."

Sebastian smiled softly. "I can do that."

"Promise?"

"Promise."
