Kate

The rest of the day was miserable and the fact that I had to use victims of a 6 car pile up to cheer me up was seriously messed up.

My mind was still foggy and I found it hard to stay focused on my work when so many other thoughts ran through my mind. What the hell was wrong with me? How could I have allowed something like that to happen? Coming here was supposed to be a new beginning for me where I focused on myself and my career but this was definitely not what I had in mind.

My guilt ridden subconscious bombarded me with thoughts and questions until I finally decided to handle the situation with a clear mind. I wasn't going to let one horribly misguided decision interfere with my plans and my life.

What happened, happened. Obviously I wasn't over the moon about it but there's nothing I can do about it but what I can do is move on and just store it in a box imbedded deep, deep down in my memories.

I planned on taking Tyler's advice. Obviously I couldn't exactly avoid him at work but where I could I certainly would. It'll be better for both of us, myself in particular.

I couldn't have been more happier when the clock struck 5. All I needed was a shower and my bed. After saying my goodbyes to everyone and completely ignoring Tyler's presence, I hit the road. The sweet vocals of Calum Scott's no matter what blessed my ears on the drive home. I parked my car straight in the garage before I grabbed my purse and headed inside.

"Hey, Sel," I greeted Selma as I entered the kitchen.

"Kate, just in time for dinner," she announced as she cleaned up around the island.

"No thanks, Sel. I don't really have an appetite right now," I said, grabbing a bright green apple off the dining table and pouring myself a huge glass of water.

"Bad day?" She deduced. Was I really that obvious?

"You could say that."

"You want to talk about it?" She offered.

"I'd rather just forget about it but I appreciate the offer, Sel," I went over to give her a tight hug. To be honest I think I needed it more than her.

"Anytime, mi amor."

"I'm gonna head upstairs and possibly pass out so, I'll see you on Monday," I told her.

"Of course," she gave me the warm hearted smile that she always has on.

"Buenas noches, Sel," I smiled back at her as I headed upstairs and she repeated back.

As I promised myself, I took a quick shower, crawled under my sheets and knocked the hell out, leaving everything that happened today in my cerebrums trash can. It would've been the perfect end to a not so perfect week if I wasn't shaken awake an hour later by people with some serious death wishes.

Anyone who knew me would know that you should never wake me from a peaceful sleep unless you planned on committing suicide by my hands. Hell hath no fury like a woman awaken from sleep.

"What the hell?" I mumbled through a scratchy voice as I felt my bed shake as if someone was bouncing on it to try and purposely ruin a perfectly good sleep.

"Wake up sleeping beauty," a voice that I'd grown so familiar to, had me wide awake.

Hazel. Of course it was Hazel. Who else would be bouncing on my bed like a 5 year old. Nic and Javi were also in the room.

"How'd you guys get here?"

"Ohh, your room door was unlocked. And we also asked your mum for the spare keys since you weren't answering your phone," Hazel replied, looking extremely proud of herself.
