Tyler
Damn! Who was this chic? Well, whoever she was, she was gorgeous. Not on the typical bombshell complete with every guys dream assets type of way but in a sexy, nerdy way.
Those cute black wide framed glasses hid her incredibly shaped dark brown eyes from everyone but I did manage to look past them.
That would happen when you're unconsciously staring at her like a creep.
Well, it suited her just like everything else. From her jeans that emphasised her curves in all the right places to her blouse and heels, to the way her chocolate brown hair fell effortlessly at her sides.
The white doctors coat that she had on was what made me really notice her caramel coloured skin. That took the cake. I was convinced that my eyes would melt off if I stared any longer. Was she Latina? She sure looked like it. Maybe mixed race because I didn't hear no accent.
Stop hurting yourself thinking about it.
So, she's into medicine. Interesting! Girls with both beauty and brains were as rare as colour blindness in females, every 1 in 200. Yes, my inner nerd does pop up from time to time. Specs was that one. Specs! I like that.
Hundreds of thoughts ran full steam ahead in my mind as I held her nearly an inch away from my face. Fuck! She smelled just as good as she looked. What was it? Tropical? Berries? Well what the hell did I know. All I knew was that she smelled... edible.
She didn't seem intimidated by me which was wierd and confusing to me. She seemed more annoyed than anything else. That was cute although her sudden flinch made it clear that she was not used to being touched. How could no one want to touch that?
Huh, listen to me psychoanalysing body language.
Nevertheless, she stood her ground unlike most girls I've approached who seemed to just melt in front of me. It was all flattering at first but then that reaction got old. They gave into their hormonal needs but I had a feeling that that was not going to happen this time around.
"Wanna have lunch with me sometime?" Great move! As if my old tactics were going to work on this one.
"I'd rather eat glass!"
Ouch! Her response was blunt and cold and definitely put a dent in my ego. Well, I obviously wasn't expecting a compliment.
I needed to come up with something and fast if I wanted this girl to stick around for a while longer but she began walking away before I had a chance to act on anything.
For as long as I can remember, none of my relationships lasted longer than 2 months. Well, there was that one time but look how that turned out. I'm here and she's...I guess you can blame that for me being the way I am today. It's not that I choose to live like this, I have to live like this. Without any pain but with all the necessary human pleasures. Without myself getting hurt in the process and without hurting someone I care about... again.
But then why did this girl only seem to intrigue me and draw me in closer. I couldn't have that on my plate, not now and maybe not ever.
Even though I knew what I was contemplating could only end in disaster, I still found myself smiling like a loon as I watched her walk away utterly furious.
Only then did it hit me. This was just the beginning seeing as we will definitely be seeing each other in the very, very near future. That thought made my day but scared me at the same time.
Specs it is! Since she didn't even give me a name even though I asked so nicely.
Sure you did.
I huffed out a satisfactory sigh as I glanced at my wrist watch.
"Shit!" I cursed out loud. I'm late on my first day.
Well, it wouldn't be the first time.

Sorry for the short chapter. I just wanted to give a little insight on what was going on in Tyler's mind...I suck at writing in the male POV but I tried🙈
Hope you're enjoying the story.

Romance"You were worried about me, Specs?" He smirked. "No, Tyler. I hoped that someone cut up your corpse and fed it to paranas. Obviously I was, you idiot! I'm a doctor. Worrying about people is kind of programmed into my system. It's a curse if you ask...
