Yugi's POV
[4 weeks later]
A few days ago Marik and Bakura broke up, now I was being stalked by Marik and Malik. *why is Malik suddenly interested in us?* 《he's aggressive, he most likely needs an outlet for his aggression and...other needs》 *dear ra that's disturbing but probably true* 《I'm a little bit afraid to fall asleep, what if they do something to me while I'm asleep?》 *well sleep is important, you can't refuse it* 《fine》 I said before crawling into my bed and going to sleep.
[10:00 pm]
A cold sensation washed over me as I was awoken. 《Yami?》 No response 'he must be asleep' I thought as I felt a feeling that made me extremely uncomfortable. I quickly returned to control of my body, I screamed as I saw Marik mere inches from my face. He covered my mouth before pinning me down "quiet! Wouldn't want your grandpa to get hurt now would we?" He said menacingly. I struggled to escape but he was much stronger than me. 《YAMI!》 I suddenly found a knife pressed against my neck "don't disturb the pharaoh either or you'll regret it!" Marik growled. I whimpered, there wasn't anything I could do. I could feel his hand on my leg "now keep quiet or else!" He commanded. I whined as he removed my shirt 'this is like the time in the alleyway when I first completed the puzzle, but instead of some stranger it was someone I considered a friend who was trying to rape me' I thought panicked. I shivered as he began to remove my pants "please don't" I begged. I thought quickly as I kicked him as hard as I could and bolted for the door. I didn't make it as Malik grabbed me by my hair and threw me against the wall beside the window. "Argh!" I whimpered. He grabbed me by my neck "you're going to regret doing that" he whispered in my ear. I shuddered in fear as he threw me out the window, I tumbled off the roof and crashed to the ground 50 feet below. The breath was knocked out of me as I lay on the ground struggling to breathe. The last thing I saw before losing consciousness was Malik's grinning face. 《Ya...mi》 I said before blacking out.
Anzu's POV
I was walking to Yugi's house to walk with him to school but halted in my tracks as I found him lying on the ground without a shirt on. I quickly ran over to him "Yugi?!" I asked concerned. He shivered before slowly opening his eyes "Anzu?" He asked weakly. He was freezing cold "Yugi, what happened?" I asked worried. "Ma...lik atta...cked me and th...rew me out...out th...e win...dow" Yugi struggled to say. I quickly ran into the game shop and grabbed a fluffy blanket, wrapping the blanket around Yugi. "Than...k you" he said as I gently picked him up. "How long have you been out here?" I asked gently petting his head. "Since 10:00 pm" he replied cuddling closer to me. "It's 7:00 am, you've been out here in the cold for 9 hours!" I shouted concerned. I felt his forehead "and you're running a fever!" I said before taking him to my house. I pulled out my phone and texted Jonouchi.
Anzu: Malik and his hikari Marik hurt Yugi last night and judging by the fact that he was wearing no shirt, I believe they tried something with him.
Jonouchi: what?! Is Yug okay?
Anzu: I found him lying outside unconscious, he said he had been out there for 9 hours. He's running a fever and is freezing cold. He has some scraps and bruises but I'm concerned about the bruise on his neck
Jonouchi: hold on I'll be right there
I pulled up my contracts and scrolled through until I found Bakura.
Anzu: your ex boyfriend just tried to kill Yugi last night!
Bakura: what?! Hold on I'll be right over
Bakura's POV
I was watching tv when I received a text ●who would be texting you this early in the morning?● I checked my messages ¤Anzu¤ I froze when I saw what she texted me. ¤damn it, I didn't think Malik would go after Yugi¤ I quickly got dressed and sprinted to Anzu's house making a 30 minute walk into a 2 minute sprint. I carefully opened the door and walked in "jeez you got here before Jonouchi and he only lives 10 minutes away" Anzu said before Jonouchi and Honda walked in. I looked over to Yugi who was lying unmoving on the couch. "Is he ok?" I asked concerned. ●get closer to him, I wish to talk to the pharaoh. He's most likely blaming himself for this● ¤ya, you would too if something happened to me¤ ●(whimpers)● ¤I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you¤ ●it's okay, I don't know what I would do if you ever got injured● ¤aww, aibou. I promise to be careful so I don't get hurt¤ ●thank you my little light● I walked over to Yugi and I could hear the two yamis talking to each other *I don't blame myself, if I had tried to intervene he would have slit Yugi's throat* ●it hurts seeing your hikari so terrified but you're unable to do anything● *ya, it was heartbreaking hearing Yugi whimpered and beg Malik not to hurt him* ●FUCKING Malik! He's going to pay for what he did● 《hmm》 *Yugi, you're awake* 《wha...where are we?》 *we're at Anzu's house little one* ●I hope you don't mind me intruding in your soul room● 《no, I trust you. You didn't do anything as bad as what Malik did》 ●your soul room is brighter than my hikari's soul room. And more innocent● 《being innocent doesn't mean that I don't know about the harsh reality and cruelty of this world》 *I still can't understand how you can face the cruel darkness of this world and still be so innocent and cheerful* 《because I believe there is good in everyone even if they don't acknowledge it》 *people like you are rare and precious* ●and adorable● 《I'm going back to sleep, I'm not yet strong enough to keep my energy for very long》 *ok aibou, get some sleep. You're safe here, I doubt Bakura and Baku will let any harm come to you. They'll crush anyone who tries* ●that's right, I won't let anyone hurt you little cub● there was a sudden loud bang against the door and growling could be heard from two different beings. I peeked out the window and immediately regretted it, Warren the Dragon Sorcerer and Malik were dragons fighting with claws unsheathed, teeth bared and spitting fire at one another. I felt a strange sensation wash over me before I chose to open the door and tackle Malik "you're not welcome here!" I roared, I was now a dragon. I slashed Malik in the face before biting into his right shoulder, tearing muscles and breaking bones. He screamed before flying off "this isn't over Bakura, I'll be back!" He shouted angrily. "You dare come back and I will have Baku attack you, he won't be so merciful!" I shouted back. "If that was merciful, I would hate to see what isn't" Warren said before changing me back to normal. I wiped the blood from my mouth and hands before going to check on Yugi. ●you're more aggressive than I thought● ¤Yugi would risk his life for his friends, it's time I returned the favor¤ ●I'm surprised Yugi doesn't hate me after what I did to him and his friends. Stealing their souls and placing them into their favorite cards, just so I could take the millennium puzzle, the pharaoh thwarted my plans when he took control over his hikari's body● ¤I further destroyed your plans by taking control of one of your monsters instead of Yami's¤ ●I can not truly understand why I wanted to hurt someone as innocent as Yugi, maybe I didn't. Maybe I just didn't want him to get in my way, it's likely that I just didn't want him to get hurt over a stupid feud with the pharaoh● ¤at least you didn't drag Yugi and his friends to the shadow realm and take Yugi as a victim who would be consumed more and more by the shadows each time Yami lost life points¤ ●wait! Malik did that, why didn't Yami just summon his Egyptian god card● ¤because Malik had his hikari Marik as a victim as well, so every time Malik lost life points his hikari would be consumed by the shadows¤ ●oh, so he struck at Yugi and Yami's kind hearts● ¤pretty much¤ ●coward!● ¤attacking Yugi's friends is most certainly a cowardly move, attacking Yugi and Yami directly shows that you're not a coward but is still a stupid move¤ ●especially with his friends by his side, you couldn't possibly even dream of beating Yugi and Yami in a duel without cheating● ¤you mean like what Devon did to Yami?¤ ●yes● "Bakura?" A small weak voice asked. ¤it's Yugi¤ I walked over to Yugi "yes?" I questioned. He reached out to me "can you please take me home?" Yugi asked cutely. "No, sorry little cub, it's not safe at your house but you can stay with one of your friends" I replied. "Can I stay with you?" Yugi asked me. ●he trusts us with his life● ¤I'm glad he's not afraid of you anymore¤ "of course cub, I'll be more than happy to bring you to my house" I responded. I gently picked up Yugi "Anzu, Jonouchi, Honda, Yugi wishes to stay at my house. I mean I have 6 different dogs who will help keep Yugi safe" I said. "Ok, as long as Yugi is safe, that's all that matters" Anzu replied. ●we should get the little cub back to our house, he looks tired● I waved goodbye to my friends and drove Yugi to my house. I carried Yugi inside and placed him in the spare bed in my room ¤that way if someone tries to hurt Yugi, they'll have to get past me first¤ ●you mean us● ¤mostly you, I'm not really that much of a fighter. The only reason I defeated Malik was because I was a dragon with razor sharp claws, pointed teeth and fire breath¤ ●alright, I'll stand guard then, I'll just sleep in the morning● ¤ok, good night Baku¤ ●good night Ryou● I fell asleep.
Baku's POV
I watched the two hikaris sleeping peacefully. I noticed that the pharaoh was awake as well "pharaoh? Why don't you get some sleep, I don't want us both being exhausted in the morning because then who will keep our hikaris safe" I said. He turned his attention to me "ok, Baku. I'm trusting you with my hikari's life, don't make me regret it" the pharaoh replied before disappearing into the millennium puzzle. I suddenly heard all 6 dogs began barking and growling, I looked out the window at the yard and saw Malik wrestling to get Akuma, the doberman, off him. Yuriko, the wolf hound, bit into Malik's left leg. While Arufa the leader of the pack bit his right arm, Kasai bit his right leg, Fukushū bit his left arm and Doragon sat on his face. I burst out laughing which woke the other three in the room "he didn't even make it past the dogs!" I said in between laughter. I heard Malik scream and flee the yard "fuck you Bakura!" He shouted as the dogs chased him away. Bakura had another dog but she was too sweet to be a guard dog, Tenshi the Pitbull. She preferred to be pet and sleep with you. "Well, I doubt he'll be back here anytime soon" I laughed. "Yugi is extremely safe here" Bakura replied before going back to sleep. Yugi went back to sleep as well.
