30th June 2019

I sat up in the hotel bed as I waited for Shawn to come in.

He unbuckled his bottoms and threw his shirt across the floor and jumped into bed next to me.

He snaked his arm behind me as I rested my head on his shoulder. "Are you alright?" He asked

"I really miss dad today." I mumbled "the interview today made me realise how much I needed him

"It's never going to get easier babe, you're always going to miss him." He wrapped both his arms around me and rocked me side to side

"You know it's his birthday tomorrow." I looked up at my Shawn with tears in my eyes. "And I'm such a shit daughter and can't even be home with mum. I barely speak to my little sister anymore." I sobbed into my hands. "I wasn't even there when dad died" I shrugged shawns arms off of me and bent down to cry into the covers.

"Alissa.." Shawn whispered and hugged me as I cried.

"I just want to say goodbye to him I want to talk to him." I muttered "he was the only person I need right
Now."

Shawn picked me up and kept his arms around him. "I'm not ever gonna let go of you. I know I'm not your dad, but I love you so much." His voice cracked "Alissa Look at me" my eyes fluttered and I looked at him "you can do this." And a single tear rolled down his face "it hurts me to see you this upset." He pushed his tear once it hit his cheek scar.

Third persons pov

Shawn Laid alissa down. He rubbed her side and hummed her to sleep as if she was his baby. He gave her soft pecks on her necks. She curled her neck as she felt his breath hit as he inhaled and exhaled. They both let out quiet chuckles as he tied a low pony tail to move the hair out of her face. And then they both fell asleep
