"I'm a mess, I'm a loser
I'm a hater, I'm a user
I'm a mess for your love, it ain't new
I'm obsessed, I'm embarrassed
I don't trust no one around us
I'm a mess for your love, it ain't new"
-Bebe Rexha, "I'm a mess"
There's this guy my friend liked. He was the first person she ever loved. It was probably stupid because she was 11. Let's call him Dave.
Dave and her first met in second grade. It was gym class. He was a popular kid everyone knew and loved. They didn't talk much. They knew each other existed. Then third grade they had a class together. Their teacher always paired them together and they had to work together. Plus they would always sit next to each other. He teased her. They were presenting and he was next to her and he tried to start a fire with 2 pencils and her hair.
They had the same 4th-grade class too. This is where it starts developing. They were really close. He was looking at her all the time. There was a girl named Hannah. She was um kind of special she had break downs in the class and she had a crush on Dave. My friend and Hannah always joked about her getting married to him and having kids.
5th grade. They were in different classes and only saw each other during recess. My friend and her friends at the time watched Dave play soccer. Sometimes they would join Dave in soccer. Sometimes their classes joined together and they were always in the same group. She had to help him with stuff because he wasn't very smart. 5th grade was when she realized "Oh, SHIT, I really like this guy".
They had a 5th-grade dance that was a party to say goodbye. She thought he would ask her to the dance because he was nice to her and helped her with stuff that happened. She thought he liked her, but he didn't. He had asked this new girl to the dance. My friend's heart was shattered. She describes it at broken and she believes she is stupid.
After they still talked and she pretended she never liked him, but she felt awkward. Then her mom said they were moving back to New Jersey and that she would have to leave all her friends. She never told him how she felt. She follows him on Instagram and he accepted.
That was my friend's story that was really interesting I feel like I just did an entire fucking interview. Y'all are welcome and please enjoy.
