Yes, I know this is technically a VaniNoé book but you guys know I like to use this as a dumping ground for all my confused thoughts on the series. So here I am! To talk about my theories/predictions for the series. I know I said not too long ago at the end of 'After the End' that I didn't want to look back and see how dumb I was but I decided screw that! I do want to be able to look back and see how dumb I was! Without further adieu let's begin.

Predictions and theories:

1) Noé will drink Vani's blood (pretty standard prediction ik) but I have some thoughts about the circumstances in which it may happen. I think Vani will offer Noé his blood voluntarily. Why? Because Noé will be dying and Vani will decide keeping his past a secret is less important. The panel that made this crazy thought come to my mind as it mentions blood can be used to heal wounds:

Also Noé will leave a mark of possession in the spot shown on volume 3's cover. So, crazy prediction 1 is out of the way.

Number 2! Teacher didn't just send Noé off to look into the Book of Vanitas for fun

Number 2! Teacher didn't just send Noé off to look into the Book of Vanitas for fun. Certainly, Teacher seems the type to screw with stuff just to see what happens... just like a certain Glen. But I think he really wants to use it to find out more about the world formula. Why would teacher care about the world formula? He's Paracelsus, the man who caused Babel by attempting to perform a large scale formula experiment. Am I reaching? Yes. Do I still like this theory/prediction? Yes.
