..a part of me kept insisting that she was a good girl, the good girl I knew her to be, another part kept trying to prove her not to be...
The cab pulled to a stop as I saw that we were in front of Vicky's lodge and noticed that I was lost in thought all the way...
But why her lodge and not mine? I asked myself.
"Hold on daddy" she said as she horridly paid the driver, came out and opened the back door..
She pulled her bag and hung it and pushed her fluffy hair towards the back then spread her hands to assist me from the seat..
All the while my eyes kept watching her,
I let out a chuckle.. "Seriously? "
"What dad? "She asked confused
"I can get out of the vehicle my self dear"I said trying to push my self up
She gave me a "really? " expression on her face and folded her hands like "let me see you try"
I laughed again.. Using my elbows to push myself up "am not a baby you kn.... "I began to speak but I was interrupted when my head hit the top rim of the back door driving me back to my sit... "Urrrghhh! "I didn't know when I yelled.
"Dad!! "I heard Vicky as she rushed into the car to me, I saw her terrified eyes running across my face trying to see if I was hurt again.. Immediately I forced out a laugh to make her feel relaxed..
"Am fine" I lied..
But she knew I was lying.. She wanted to talk..
"Okay, I feel a little pain in my head right now but it's not that serious.. "I said wearing an 'am okay' expression on my face..
She inhaled deeply before going out of the vehicle and gently put her arms across my elbows as she helped me out of the car..
She put my hand across her shoulder and began to pull me towards her apartment..
She didn't say a word
Was she angry? I was scared, I've never seen her angry before...
I heard the taxi drive away as we entered her balcony, she put her hand into her bag, fetched her keys and began to open the door, still she was silent and avoiding my face...
She opened the door and pointed that I should go in.
