Watching the vehicle disappear, I went back to sit on the bed..
It was obvious she liked me but I couldn't allow this kissing thingy to continue or even go further.
Just then my phone began to ring, I went to where it was laying on a table surface.. It was Vicky calling.
Oh God why?!
I watched the phone ring and refused to pick it till it stopped ringing.
Phew. I sighed to myself and was about to return to where I stood up from when the phone rang again.
I picked it reluctantly.
"Hey"
"Hey Pops" she responded very happily
"Yes? " I answered coldly
"You good?" She asked,She asked!! Wasn't she the one that just left here fully aware of the state I was before she left.
"Dad? " she called me back from my thoughts that's when I discovered that I hadn't answered her question,
"Yes?"
"Asked if you're good" she said
"I am" I tried to pretend.
"I forgot to tell you that I wanted to see you before tomorrow "she said.
How won't you forget.. My sarcastic side spat into my thoughts
"Okay?" I said
"Would you come to my Lodge later this evening or the other way round" she asked
"No! " I almost yelled, the way that also shocked me but yeah what ever, I wasn't going to allow another scene play itself again
I heard her chuckle at the other end of the call..
"We'd meet at the library" I said and I heard her laugh so hard..
"Seriously dad? " she asked in between giggles
"Yes" I tried hard to sound serious but the way she was laughing was sending dust up my nostrils
"Okay then Pops, library it is then" she said.. "What time? "
"Anytime you get there, call me, I'd be hanging around the area today " I said
"Okay then Dad.. "She said. "Eugene is saying hi" she added
I nodded and immediately realize that they couldn't see my nodding
"Thanks" I reluctantly said.
"Talk to you later dad "
"Alright "I said
"Get good dad kay? "she said and before I could say bye she added "I love you"
I Shook my head and was about ending the call when I saw something
