I took my pencil and took a plain sheet and placed it on my drawing board and opened to the picture I wanted to draw from my phone but the thoughts of the dairy kept burning in my head and for like thirty minutes I just kept staring at the blank sheets without being able to draw even a line...
I felt paralyzed in my mind and a prisoner to my curiosity for the little book..
Just then my phone rang, it was Vicky calling..
I picked it.
"Hello Vicky? "
"Hello Dad... "She sounded cold
"How are you baby, you sound cold"
"I'm not fine dad," she replied
"Not fine?, what happened? What's wrong? How is Eugene? " I began shooting questions
"He's fine dad, he just dropped me at the library now.. "She replied
"Oh, you're at the libr... I'd be coming now"I said standing up and going towards the bathroom..
"Okay dad, I'd be waiting for you" she said and hung up
I rushed in to take a shower, came out, got dressed and hurried to the library..
Getting there I sought for her amongst the other students and then I finally saw her at an extreme end of the library with her head in her arms, earpiece plugged and her eyes closed..
What has happened this time?
I rushed to her and tapped her slightly on the shoulder, she opened her eyes and rose up her head and gave a very weak smile and adjusted for me to sit beside her..
"What's wrong Vee? What happened? "I asked and I sat..
"Eugene "she said and paused as if expecting me to understand the rest.
"What about him? "I asked calmly
"I just told him I'd be travelling tomorrow for my dad's wake keep "she said and grabbed my hand before I could talk and my mouth was opened but the words paused in my throat..
She continued "I should have told you too and him about it before now but I wasn't sure about, my senior brother just texted me to come tomorrow I'm so so sorry dad" she pleaded showing puppy eyes..
I closed my mouth and Shook my head.. "Baby, you shouldn't be sorry na, I understand okay.. Okay? "I asked
she exhaled
