..we somehow began to go back to my lodge admist laughter and tears.... I held Vikky close and tight as if... As if? No... I held her because I had found my reason to live...
I saw a bike coming and waved for him to stop and take us...
But Vikky said we should walk..
"I'd need more time away from vehicles for now" she said laughing..
We both laughed...
We both?
Yeah we both were walking behind Edwards and Jasmine carrying Vikky's little luggage..
"No na, na we com dey front na,you no run for front again" Edward teased..
We laughed...
"so you were gonna cry dad? " Vikky asked
"No I... "
"Baba shut up"Edward interrupted..
"He was already crying sef" Jasmine said..
"Awwwwwww" Vikky blushed and hugged me again..
Again..yeah.. From the park to the road, we had hugged about a million times..
"I was scared you... " I didn't finish my sentence.
"Awwwwww...me too pops"she said..
"What caused the accident? The same tire problem you told me about? "I asked
She shook her head "Everything was fixed but the driver felt he had wasted much time so he tried to cover up for the delay by not just going too fast.. Dude was literally flying " she said.. "I was lucky" she added..
Me too,yeah..lucky to have her back.
"I was watching a movie on my phone when it happened" she continued "All I knew was I felt the vehicle leave the ground and everyone screamed and I passed out" she said and grabbed my hand tightly.
She was happy to be alive but was still scared from the experience.
"I woke up to hearing people crying in pain"she went on.. I wasn't going to stop her... "I saw people lay dead beside me," she chuckled.. "Did you know that if I hadn't woken from comma they'd had taken me to the mortuary? " she said laughing terrified.. I laughed too....
"I was scared when I saw dead bodies dad... " she added.. "I'm still scared now but a little tho" she chuckled..
I kept smiling like I had won a lottery.
Hearing her voice was better to me than all the jackpot in the world...
