..I immediately took my eyes away but my mind kept disturbing me about the little book.. I gnashed my teeth, moulded my fist, stood up, went and took the book and returned to my seat...
My heart began to beat fast, my blood boiling hot, I was sweating profusely, it was as if demons were fighting in my body..
I flung the book away towards the entrance
"It'd get torn" I froze at the sound of the voice and turned to slowly to where the voice came from.. Vicky was standing at the door..
"You angry dad? "She asked
"You are not asleep? "I asked avoiding her question..
She walked towards the dairy laying on the ground and picked it up avoiding my question too,
"When you get angry, you also fling things too dad? " she asked.. "Or you are not going to answer that too? "
I sighed deeply... "Am sorry Vi.. "I stopped as I saw her looking away .
"I'm the one that offended you dad"she started walking towards me,
She sat on the cushion I stood up from, I took a minute before sitting too..
"Dad, am sorry for kissing you and trying to... "She paused.. She didn't want to say.. She felt ashamed..
"Am sorry too fish"I started as I put my hand over her shoulders..There was a moment of silence.
"I intentionally did want to kiss you dad"she spoke. I turned to look at her like I was just noticing her..
"I just didn't want anyone else to have my first kiss" she said looking away.. I began to blush but I tried to hide it..
I cleared my throat.. "It's fine actually, but it's wrong you know? "I pulled her closer..
"You are my second" I said
"Mum was the first right? "She asked looking at me with a wide smile
Mum? Jasmine? Immediately I stood up, Jasmine,that name was the last thing I wanted to hear..
Vicky stood up and hugged me from behind, "Am sorry dad.. I swear I really am"..
I pulled her from my back and sat back with her on the cushion..
"She's not mum" I said, "there's no more"
"But I want a mum" she said pouting..
I looked at her in frustration..
