...as we came close to the canteen,I began to see people moving in twos and fours..
I tried to avoid looking at them but even the school canteen was called "Romeo and Juliet" God why?
My appetite just left.
"Eh oga" I said and the bike man stepped on his brakes so hard that I almost fell over from behind him..
"Oga wetin? Which kind driving be that?" I yelled coming down in anger.
"Bros I no go again give me my money" the bike man requested staring at me disgusted.
"So it's because of two fifty you want to kill me?" I asked in rage
"Two wetin? Bros your money don pass two fifty o" he said raising his voice.
Hearing that and noticing that people had started looking I reduced mine.."Oya no vex oga..take me ba.."
The man cut in.." Bros I swear with my mama say I no dey carry you go any where.." He made the swearing sign.."gimme my money make I dey go" he stretched his hand at me.
"Oya how much?" I asked.
"Ya money na four hundred.." He said
I was going to shout but I saw people had started watching.
I gently took out my wallet and gave him five hundred naira.
He took it from me and he began to search his pocket for my balance.
I looked around and seeing the disgrace this man had already given me I was going to win my respect back.
"Oga" I called to him
"Wetin?" He asked
"No worry,keep the change.." I said and began to walk away.
Immediately I heard the man start his bike,he rode it and parked in front of me and stretched his hand to me with my balance..
I saw people begin to laugh.
I felt like entering the ground.
"Bros abeg take your change.." He said..
I stylishly took it the way some police men collect bribe on the road.
Collecting the money from the man he turned his bike and began to go and I think I heard him say something like "no be me do you"
I stared at the ground but from the side of my eyes I saw people staring and giggling.
Just then someone put an hand over my shoulder from behind
" you be comedy o" Edward said
I sighed in relief
